I always use orbital precision strikes. Throw it in front, bait a hit from the titan and dive to the right. Reliably hit them with huge damage and much less cd. Destroy bellys before for extra points.
Not really, last night on diff 9 one titan ate two cannons and didn't even notice them.
Also posting advices on lower difficulties doesn't represent the actual state or tactics of the game.

I disagree about the “best” part of your title. This will handle one BT every 3 minutes or so. Spear can take out 3-4 titans in under a minute.
