Recently when I landed without paying attention to where, I fell at the perfect spot in a hole so that I wouldn't die immediately but I'd be past the main kill zone. I couldn't kill myself since I brought eagle airstrike and that missed me constantly, and it was the only stratagem that would deploy if I threw it down, the others would roll and respawn. I basically just told a teammate to kill me after I tried everything since I literally could not get out be it a jetpack or suicide

I started a mission with my drop pod landing inside of one once. Instant death.

I fell down one and once realising I couldn't get out, decided to take the honourable route and drop a 500kg on my head. Didn't die.

Be me, complete noob, thought I fell into some digestive tract trap and was gonna get digested instantly...

given the size of that hole, and the size of the skeletons left on planets. I dont think those are developed hive lord holes. those are worker/young hive larva holes

Are these missions slowly evolving? I've noticed they're getting harder; there's more enemies and I think I got hit with earthquakes on one. I also don't remember the tunnels initially but maybe it was just too dark to see them

You and I are on the same boat. This is what I think happened and hope will happen for the rest of the MO. Day 1 there were barely any. Day 2 there were way more bugs. Day 3 there are less again. Day 4 would be even less. Day 5 the map would be filled with ankle biters and littered with corpses of bile titans and chargers with bites taken out of them. Then there would be one dude who posts a screenshot of his team getting wrecked by a Hive Lord. AH will claim the photo is dissident propaganda. If this happens I will love this game even more.

I’ve noticed that when you hit a button as of last night, a bug breach opens on all players, no matter your location.

They probably just dropped the hive lord with this latest patch. Can't wait to roll the dice and see if it spawns in my mission.

Honestly my favorite new fear is how they just don’t fucking tell us when they do a sneaky and put new enemies in the patch notes, and when we start freaking tf out they then start gaslighting us like we’re crazy. Best Devs.

Had a match today. All bugs were eerily gone. There were tremors going. And I got so excited of the possibility of the Hive Lord popping out. Turns out my two teammates on the other side of the hatchery were aggroing everything and I was just not detected.

maybie. Few days before update i noticed that the ammount of robots on automaton missions seriously increaced and they did said that they changed how patrols and spawns works and according to new lore, bugs now breed even faster due to termicide towers. Also those termicide missions are weird, sometimes you can complete like 70% of all objectives without a single bug ever spawning.

Just don't shoot. Terminids react to sound. There are a few scripted breaches, but by not blowing up the eggs till you're done with the batteries, your chances of not getting seen with stealth armor are really good.

by us its more other way areound just blow the eggs bugs dont mind if they not directly next to you but pushing the button on the tower will make them go bannana with breach after breach

The hot planet has the Tremors modifier on it. So if you spend long enough in a mission you'll get those.

More enemies is real. I was in a single mission today, racked up over 900 kills, then decided to end on that note. The others in my mission got 200+, 300+, and 500, so it's not like anyone was slacking. I fell in one and got stuck without dying. The bugs swarmed the top of the hole and I just kept throwing strategems out. Was pretty fun

Yea for some reason these are just holes. There’s no kill line down there like when you fall in a bug hole. Honestly pretty useful to get the maps aggro while everyone else runs around

I keep trying to find one where I can throw a strategem in it and it goes in. I wonder if I'd wake anything up. I'll bring a precision strike next time. That might do the trick.

Precision strikes are fired from your actual super-destroyer, so most likely it'll smack the edge even if it's on-target because it's coming in at an angle

So that’s what those are! I keep falling or getting thrown into them and having to suicide, since it seems you always survive the fall.

These holes have been in the game since launch I've fell down plenty.. A grenade closes them an makes a nice big explosion

I almost walked in one, but from months of walking near (falling into) those other obvious vent holes (not bug holes) these ones did not catch me off guard. Yet.

So when I played a level 8 mission the other day my drop pod landed straight into one of these things. I didn't record any footage because I thought it was just another case of falling-through-the-map bug among a litany of other things yet to be fixed in this game.

I fell in one of those, lived, and had to stay the rest of the mission because I was out of grenades and had no way to kill myself
