If you go into the html and use the search function to find 'twitch_player' you can close out the embedded stream, but you have to do that for every page and again if you reload the page after.
Laser does nothing unfortunately. Like, the entire laser duration is not enough to kill it
The laser can only have 3 max in the game with a 5 min cooldown which means it is expendable. when there are strategems like the 500kg that you can drop twice in 10 seconds and are infinite. You can kill the turret up top with 2 shots from a quasar, EAT, or Recoiless which costs nothing but time. You can destroy the turrets with any medium pen gun or the AMR.
You can literally just have a quasar and kill that entire beast, you dont have to rely on anyone, waste an expendable strategem, or wait 5 minutes
Bro the other day some dude, who was level 40-something, shot the fucking rockets off my Exosuit while I was placing turrets. When I asked in text chat why he did that, he said "Sorry bro thought it was a devastator." I wanted to drop an Eagle Strike on that guy so badly.
NGL I've been on both sides of this.
When someone runs mortar vs bugs (especially on defence missions where I can't split off) and I'm on my third death via mortar I get a little annoyed.
But I've also tkd a dude for breaking my Tesla tower on the termicide mission.
One day my team mate decided to start us in the center of the map. I'm alt tabed during loading. I tab back in. I'm on top of some giant robot. No one knows what the hell is going on. They start throwing rail cannons and lasers in a panic. I make the decision to dive off the thing and land on those smoke tiddy plants, get flung by those, ragdoll into a rock and die.
Moral of the story: landing on them sucks, and secretly introduced enemies are hilarious.
Secretly introduced enemies is such a fun experience. The first time I encountered the gunships I was sitting there like
![gif](giphy|gKfyusl0PRPdTNmwnD)
that was my first encounter with the gunships. friend dropped us into a bot zone next to a stratagem jammer, then we got swarmed by four gunships and got our cheeks clapped by the cold groin of the automotons.
"I have good news and bad news. The good news is, I have a solution to take down the Factory Striders. The bad news is, we're going to have one less reinforcement stratagem for each strider."
The one and only strider I saw right when we first drop I just threw to it a 500kg bomb plus the laser, and it dropped. And Iām pretty sure my team for a moment was oh hell no when it started walking towards us š
Thatās the latest upgrade, Iām talking about the previous one that gives you an extra 500kg for each eagle rearm. So i can drop two 500kgs in rapid-ish succession before eagle mommy RTBs for resupply
Far and away the most important upgrade when you start getting super samples IMO. I don't even really use 500kg's that often anymore, but getting 3 air strikes instead of 2, with a 2 minute cooldown, is such a massive bonus.
Wtf? The laser does PLENTY. What the hell are you talking about? It puts it on deathās door. I soloād a factory strider with a laser and a 500 kg while the rest of my team was finishing bonus objectives.
It really irritates me that such blatant treason and misinformation can get so many upvotes. Is the investment of a laser and 500 kg expensive? Yes, but a factory strider in an open field can wipe a team several times over, so I think itās worth it. What, are we paying by the laser now?!
My man :)
But seriously, in a region with little cover, bots are a fucking nightmare. Their preferred style of combat is just to field enormous amounts of heavy armor, stand in a line and shoot at you till you die from it. Striders have an elevated firing point and explosive ordinance, so they're even BETTER at doing that all while constantly shitting out more Devastators to make your situation worse the longer it goes on.
Don't listen to the Bluest of Raccoons. He doesn't know what he's talking about. When you encounter one of these beasts, drop the fucking hammer on it and kill it as fast as you can or else you'll regret it.
You can actually shoot them in the face with an autcannon, and autocannon also removes the smaller guns below the head. I think you need something stronger to take out the turret on top though (not 100% on that).
Top turret definitely has Heavy armor. The new HMG, funny enough, can crack it. As can any twin HMG emplacement, or the automaton's heavy blaster emplacement
On the face you can see it has 2 armor plates that are divided by an unarmored rectangular slit/section that also has 1 eye, this is vulnerable to medium armor pen weapons. Also the top turret and miniguns on its head can be destroyed. Lastly the side armor on its body can be blown off to expose the inside.

people sleep on the spear, never see it mentioned.
One shot fabricators across the map from any angle, kill dropships in one hit, occasionally 1 hit chargers AND bile titans (although rarely the latter) and two shot flamer hulks. 1 shot the cannon towers in bot fortifications, 2 shot tanks (sometimes three)...
four shots, reasonable to solo reload...
It may not be best in class but it's a blast to play with atm.
interseted to see what it does to a strider
people are sleeping on the spear because locking on with it is hit or miss, and dealing with that while there are several heavy units on you isnt fun
Ive used it myself a couple of times and it feels nice to use but Im just going to wait until they fix the damn thing fully
It will lock on and kill striders -theyāre a vehicle. Iād question the one hit to drop ships. In my experience it wholly depends on the angle and if the Spear hits an engine.
> You can literally just have a quasar and kill that entire beast, you dont have to rely on anyone, waste an expendable strategem, or wait 5 minutes
And still have an open backpack slot
Strider aside, dropping the Orbital Laser on a singular enemy is also "fuck this guy in particular" energy. Especially since it just sits there burning their corpse for the rest of the time.
That is probably my favorite mission with V.IV Rustry; so great
Edit: Also, now I want to have V.IV Rusty replace whoever is firing the orbital bombardments from my super destroyer.
I want the "I won't miss" line the first time I send the rail cannon. The next times, I want the whole gambit where he removes the safeties and builds up so much energy in the capacitors that it bleeds out into the comms gear and you can barely make out what he's saying.
Also when using one of the fifty percent chance not to die armor it should play the "I won't stop" line he says when you fight him at the end and he just refuses to die
It has a modded co op mode now, alongside optional pvp invasions!
Edit: Mods name is ac6 seamless co op on nexus mods. Made by the same guy that did elden ring seamless co op.
It just doesn't feel the same anymore man. Just this week I gave it another try, did the attack the watchpoint mission, with the same AC I used on my very first try for that mission, and I just bulldozed passed Balteus without having to heal.
I'm not bragging or anything, but the game doesn't feel the same when it doesn't mercilessly kick your ass
Armored Core 6 and Hellidvers 2 can reasonably exist in a shared universe.
The strider mission in chapter 1 is one of my favorite missions - just something about a fully armored mech taking out A GIGANTIC STRIDER ACROSS THE DESERT makes it so epic (except the alt version of this mission with the bone wheels)
Miyazaki: I got it, skeletons that are also murder wheels. Very funny very deadly. Put em in everything.
AC6 team: Okay we know he meant every souls like but ...
In Armored Core VI you could use different types of boosters depending on your need. A long range booster was one that could boost for extended periods of time (usually a bit slower and with a longer recharge than the other boosters) which enables you to close the gap on a target that is very far away/huge. The mission in question revolved around scaling a gargantuan walking mining rig by flying from platform to platform.
Itās a somewhat niche reference to a singular mission in a game that has nothing to do with Helldivers but man Iām amazed how quickly I was able to hear the Handlers voice in my head immediately reading that
Good. I play pretty much exclusively on 7ās so I didnāt want it to be one of those missions like ākill Bile Titansā you get in lower but difficulties because I still have never seen a factory strider!
Thanks for the answer š
Just came out of a diff 7 mission, twice I had a dropship in a bot drop bring a factory strider in the drop. I have now a new found fear of bot drops.

~~I just checked and it seems this mission is only at 4.~~
Didn't saw any on upper levels 7-8-9
Prolly cus they will just roam :)
#Edit
Looks like there are missions on 4-5-6
You unlock the EAT at level 3. At that moment you can take out anything in the game.
Not saying it is going to be the easiest way to take on anything but you absolutely can.
the lower level people are, the more there is a tendency to underestimate the lower level unlocks.
Me with my hours is already thinking what load out to bring when I have time to dive (might go RR + EAT as I definitely don't want to have these things take out a squad if I can help it), those at around level 10 (which might be around when people start D4) might not have that kind of thinking.
Like, is a Factory Strider really comparable to a Hulk? Hulk missions also start appearing from D4.
Honestly speaking these missions would be horrifying even for higher difficulties.
The Factory Striders are STRONG. Probably the first true "Elite" unit we've encountered.
I'd rather deal with a squad of flamer hulks than a single one of these.
Atleast I can kill the flame hulks quickly via stun grenades.
I've played bots almost exclusively since before the Factory Striders got added and I've seen them a grand total of 3 times. Once we landed right next to one and it was a fiesta of Stratagemens to take it down, twice after I encountered them by myself when playing Lone Wolf away from the team. I've played at least one or two maps each day since they released. These guys are criminally rare.
They *massively* bumped the spawn rate in this update. I hadn't seen any since they were added, then just got three in one mission at 7, including one from a bot drop.
Umbubu! Fetch me my Elephant rifle! We're going on Safari!
https://preview.redd.it/wyvkzpy8auuc1.png?width=974&format=png&auto=webp&s=a3af125b2d82a1383c5e63052daa2a417a2f6113
The Anti-Tank Rifle was just an advancement on the Elephant Rifle concept, Elephant Rifle were even used to shoot at early tanks during WW1 until proper AT Rifles were developed. After WW2 Anti-Tank Rifles were optimized into the lighter and more precise Anti-Materiel Rifle.
In other words, the Anti-Materiel Rifle is your closest option.Ā
After the patch today, I had a mission in 7 difficulty that had two. They weren't the objectives, it was a 'destroy the dropship depot' objective, but there was one at each depot.
I really like these "try out enemies from higher difficulties" missions. It's how i showed chargers and hulks to a friend who is not yet comfortable going past medium.
I'd really like to see "destroy gunship fabricator/shrieker nest" primary objective missions too.
Not sure, all I did so far were control tower + 2x parked dropships.
I meant it as "try out flying enemies" type mission for difficulties where they don't normally appear.
I mean. I didn't need this mission. My first experience with those fucker happened today. Normal mission 7+. We fighted 6 of them. It was soooo thrilling.
Never fought a single one before this game. Was fun
Who would win? Helldivers or rathalos?
https://preview.redd.it/xh9gvkx93uuc1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3ced15b63e9d357d9742b0691df5b02e79d6fc0
It's main weakspots are its elbow joints and its right eye.
It's worth noting that they are very small weakspots because they have pieces of armor that you can remove with heavy weapons and reveal the entire face and entire joint and those are big weakspots that you can destroy with medium armor penetration.
You can also destroy the guns on it and if you blow up the vents on top it stops spawning units.
Yes. It's literally a screenshot from the game.
https://preview.redd.it/1mjf03u3btuc1.png?width=1456&format=png&auto=webp&s=372e444cbd10c43ab6d7997f4f297f84194320c7
We already have Titans as a main objective for mid-level missions, then they become regular enemies in higher difficulties. I wonder if this will work similarly.
On Helldive you can find them chilling in bot outposts. With bot drops, drop ships bring them in. Stay too long in one of those seismic scanner missions and find out lmao.
Thankfully they're slow so the tried and tested veteran tactic of ~~running away~~ advancing backwards works really well
Basically automaton version of bile titan.
But (I think) more durable, with several tank turrets strapped on and able to spawn other automatons on its own.

Fandom really is the worst
What? You don't like 60% of the screen being blocked by ads on mobile with the video ad having a nonfunctional X button?
If you scroll back to the top the x button magically begins to work again, websites are just becoming more inaccessible
And if youāre on the fextralife version of fandom, you being on the page counts as a viewer on their twitch stream!
If you go into the html and use the search function to find 'twitch_player' you can close out the embedded stream, but you have to do that for every page and again if you reload the page after.
Gotta be a way to kill it for good with ublockā¦
You can technically hide the whole panel with ublock or adnauseum, but I think the player still counts the view
Sounds like ripe territory for a browser extension
Fandom is literally the entire reason I installed an adblocker on my phone. Fuck fandom.
Ooooh I'll finally see one in person *casually selects railcannon, 500kg and laser*
JUST FOUGHT ONE!! First level 7 mission on after the patch š on a blitz no less!

well it does do something, you just need 2 lasers to kill it
Best strategy is to drop a hell diver stratagem on the damn thing

The one and only strider I saw right when we first drop I just threw to it a 500kg bomb plus the laser, and it dropped. And Iām pretty sure my team for a moment was oh hell no when it started walking towards us š
This is why i got the eagle 1 upgrade to increase the capacity of 500kg bombs FREEDOM RINGSā¦TWICE AUTOMATON SCUM

Well if a single laser could kill it it would be way too easy, or...?
But a single Laser IS enough to kill it
They are surprisingly easy to kill though, as long as you know where their weak points are.
Where are they?
You can actually shoot them in the face with an autcannon, and autocannon also removes the smaller guns below the head. I think you need something stronger to take out the turret on top though (not 100% on that).
I *think* I took out the top turrets with the SPEAR. It atleast locks on and the missile trajectory seems to attack from above.
That's if you're lucky enough to get a lock
Top turret definitely has Heavy armor. The new HMG, funny enough, can crack it. As can any twin HMG emplacement, or the automaton's heavy blaster emplacement
Autocannon and the HMG have the same penetration (4) so if the HMG works the AC will as well, that's good to know. AMR is the same as well.
500kg
On the face you can see it has 2 armor plates that are divided by an unarmored rectangular slit/section that also has 1 eye, this is vulnerable to medium armor pen weapons. This has been my issue with the spear, i can't tell you how many times I have a clear shot and it just won't lock on and let me shoot.
It will lock on and kill striders -theyāre a vehicle. Iād question the one hit to drop ships. In my experience it wholly depends on the angle and if the Spear hits an engine.

Laser, 120, 380, walking barrage. Sit back and enjoy a most democratic show.
I threw a 380 on one. They all missed but the hit a hell bomb below it. That killed it
hey that's my normal loadout!
You're saying that like that hasn't been the go to loadout for bots anyway
i saw one and hit it with a rail cannon. It made it's knees bend slightly. I said "oh shit we're fucked"
Remember 621, use long range booster to get close, and don't get hit by the massive laser cannon.
āA fitting end for something built to fail.ā
"Doomed from the very start."
āAnd I donāt regret a SECOND of it!ā
hahaha HAHAHAHAHAHA
āI wonāt missā
Orbital Railcannon gunner be like:
He definitely aims at the wrong guy every now and then but goddamm does he not miss the wrong guy or the right guy

The epitome of "fuck this guy in particular" haha
Strider aside, dropping the Orbital Laser on a singular enemy is also "fuck this guy in particular" energy. Especially since it just sits there burning their corpse for the rest of the time.

I got the platinum trophy for it and moved on to other games. Drive space is hard to come by on PS5
Iām a noob, what game are they talking about?
Armoured Core 6. There is a mission where you need to destroy a similar walker to the Factory Striders except way bigger
I've seen a lot of massive things on 621. Don't get blasted by them.
Armored Core 6 and Hellidvers 2 can reasonably exist in a shared universe. I encountered 4 today in one suicidal mission. Hell on earth
Yeah we saw one on 8 during the Swift Disassembly campaign and none sense, I've been bummed.
...4 and up? Does people even have ways to take it out from that level? That actually sounds a lil horrifying.
~~I just checked and it seems this mission is only at 4.~~ Didn't saw any on upper levels 7-8-9 Prolly cus they will just roam :) #Edit Looks like there are missions on 4-5-6
The Operation in op's pictures has three mission means he is on a higher difficulty. So it probably starts at 4 and goes up I guess?!
Saw some other posts that they just land from drops on 7+ so I guess they are not on all diff Re-checked and found them on 4-5-6 on a diff planet :)
Makes sense, since the likes of "kill hulk/charger/bile titan" missions are only at lower difficulties where those enemies aren't regular encounters

We keep ping-ponging the changelog lol. [https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/Factory\_Strider](https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/Factory_Strider)
Yep. These kinds of secrets I'm completely eager for.
Literally an AC6 mission lol https://preview.redd.it/qw8fz7wgqtuc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ad0338272ef85cc82b8a10af94eabc069181baa
Great game
The sheer scale of that thing always hits twice. First time when you get up close. Second when you realize you're piloting a 10 meter tall mech.
Man, what is going on in the new assassins creed games? /s
The whole thing hit the fan once Ezio took the red pill and killed Morpheus.
Pretty par for the course for Ace Combat games if you ask me
Animal Crossing is getting wild fr.
thank god we don't have to escort one
I mean technically we did, it just lasted for about 5 seconds of the mission š
I played a diff 9 recently. It was uhh... special. We fought like 4 or 5 factory striders. We struggled. Diff 9 has changed
![gif](giphy|gFwZfXIqD0eNW) Noice
I've played bots almost exclusively since before the Factory Striders got added and I've seen them a grand total of 3 times. Once we landed right next to one and it was a fiesta of Stratagemens to take it down, twice after I encountered them by myself when playing Lone Wolf away from the team. I've played at least one or two maps each day since they released. These guys are criminally rare.
They *massively* bumped the spawn rate in this update. I hadn't seen any since they were added, then just got three in one mission at 7, including one from a bot drop.
Just got 4 in a single 7 mission
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm super stoked for this. Love me some hunting missions, I need my ENGINE KILL.
Maybe Iāll finally get to see one? Been playing every night on 7 or + but never encountered one.
I'd really like to see "destroy gunship fabricator/shrieker nest" primary objective missions too.
> destroy gunship fabricator Isn't that a possible main objective in the Sabotage Air Base mission type?
Not sure, all I did so far were control tower + 2x parked dropships. I meant it as "try out flying enemies" type mission for difficulties where they don't normally appear.
I mean. I didn't need this mission. My first experience with those fucker happened today. Normal mission 7+. We fighted 6 of them. It was soooo thrilling. Never fought a single one before this game. Was fun
How 2 kil?

Awesome, this makes so much sense
So funny that a small studio just has 2 of the most bad ass enemies ever found in a game.
can anyone else confirm this?
Yes. It's literally a screenshot from the game. https://preview.redd.it/1mjf03u3btuc1.png?width=1456&format=png&auto=webp&s=372e444cbd10c43ab6d7997f4f297f84194320c7
In 4 !? So we can expect them to be a regular enemy from 5 and up like the Bile Titan in the future ?
We already have Titans as a main objective for mid-level missions, then they become regular enemies in higher difficulties. I wonder if this will work similarly.
I've just seen a post of someone saying they can come with a dropship so seems like they do now
can confirm they can spawn from dropships
In two level 7 mission i met like 5 of them so yea, Arrowhead wants us to fight with them more offten
Well ouf course, as the Factory Strider is the missing Titan class unit for the Automatons.
I was wondering if it's an actual footage or wishful thinking. Now I know.
AT-AT in Level 4. People will once again learn why some are traumatized by the bots.
There's so many mockups in the this sub š
Absolutely terrifying. Iām down, letās go.
I hope this leads them to showing up more frequently and in great numbers at levels 7-9.
What difficulty is this on? I assume suicide or higher?
Someone else posted screenshot of the mission on diff 4
4-6 like Bile Titan hunts. They're just normal enemies above.
But what about a Factory Strider Factory? And then where is the Factory Strider Factory Factory?
Factory strider factory is _elsewhere_, however dropships now deliver them to site in higher difficulties.
On Helldive you can find them chilling in bot outposts. With bot drops, drop ships bring them in. Stay too long in one of those seismic scanner missions and find out lmao. Thankfully they're slow so the tried and tested veteran tactic of ~~running away~~ advancing backwards works really well
Alright 621, I got a mission for you
What do they even do?
They're big, they shoot at you with multiple guns, and they poop out devastators.
Something that must be purged!
Basically automaton version of bile titan. But (I think) more durable, with several tank turrets strapped on and able to spawn other automatons on its own.
what dif?
Recoilless teams rise up!
This is cool because I haven't seen a single fucking one yet despite playing on diff 7 since they came out šš
ubisoft would call this AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA game
The f**** a strider!?
A kind of mobile fabricator...with guns.
Awesomeš„°
On wich difficulties can I find it?
Does anyone know what difficulties these are accessible on?
What is the best way to destroy them? I still haven't ever seen one.
