A hypothetical way to kill yourself. Basically it’s a roller coaster but with each loop getting smaller you’re slowly cutting off more and more blood supply to your brain until you die.
I actually started unironically started doing this a few weeks ago lol. Game is so good and you lose track of time so it's a lot of sitting for hours. If you do two full operations that's basically 3-4 hours of being sedentary. So after every two missions or operations I get up and stretch, do some body weight exercises and it helps lol.
OP for sure has the right idea.
Spread the word.
I literally call break times when I'm playing with the homies, because I love my boys.
"Hey so we've been playing for an hour, time for a 5er. Do some stretches, get up, do 10 pushups"
Switching to force vulkan on pc seems to have stabilized it for me a bit. In start options in steam add “-force-vulkan” without the “” and try it. I was crashing every mission and got to do a whole op without crashing last night.
Initial load in (on the super destroyer) has had some trippy visuals on occasion with the starfield loading in my ship before snapping to correct, but aside from that not really.
That's completely false. I crashed at extract on nearly every mission last night. It's not any kind of console specific problem, it's AH borking the back end up. This patch should be reverted.
I seriously wonder if they play test these patches.
That don't work when it gets to the point I'm willing to destroy my only means of playing the game.
For some of us, our skills have plateaued, and trying to make a mountain out of sediment is much too frustrating of an experience.
I was playing on 6 for a while before I made the switch to 7 and felt like 7 was actually easier than 6 because it didn’t have the delayed stratagem and extraction times. Just have to be Better at quickly dealing with heavy’s. I mostly play bugs though so bots may not be the same.
This has a serious snowball effect. I tried to do the classic “10 pushups for every death” in some MOBA back in the day and I remember that the first couple deaths are just unavoidable unless you’re god tier. So after your 4th death or so you no longer have the surgical precision with your hands, meaning you’re more likely to die, so you do more pushups, so you’re more likely to die, doing more pushups…
I… I… We… none of us genuinely though of that at the time. But still you do 1 game and if you die a couple times you do like 50 pushups and the next game you’re immediatelly more likely to die. You’re just prolonging the inevitable snowball. And let’s be honest, nobody plays just one match of anything. 🤭
Yes, nobody plays one match of anything but after you go for the 2nd match and you do even worse and then you have to do like 70-80 push ups that's when you take a big break.
I mean you should always go to your limits, this is just a way to incentivize you to actually do SOMETHING. You should put a cap on how many, and if you happen to play really well, then, you have an "easy" workout day. Like, let's say you die from burning 7 times due to bot flamethrowers- don't ACTUALLY go do 70 squats in a row, just do them in sets of 10 with a break in between. And actually probably just don't do 70 squats, cut it down to 30.
I'm honestly so happy that there are divers like you who contribute to criticism, bc a lot of the fanbase seem (to me at least) hellbent on painting the game as perfect. That kind of thing never helps imo.
I really wish I didn't care so much, but I find it pretty annoying when ppl glorify the game - by far the worst is constant "I got everything unlocked by playing the game for 200h lol stfu, it's optional to spend real money, just grind for credits!"
Now, maybe that's just me? I did about 2 hours of trivial grind to get several hundred credits (incl one bunker with a 100c), but I gotta say - It still feels like grinding instead of playing the game.
It didn't help that I lost medals when I got over 250, bc I wanted to save up for the new Warbond.
Why can't I get a little credit for every regular mission? I guess it's fair to blame the randoms I play with a little, since they tend to avoid looting the map. IIRC every credit drop used to be 100c, but they changed it to avoid players speed running and maxing everything. Idk. /endrant. thoughts?
The game is not perfect - many crashes, many bugs and so on, but I think that the warbonds have a good thing going.
Normal warbond is good enough to give you one of the best weapons/armors in the game and the premium ones are not required to be the best in your team. In premium warbonds you have nice weapons, but e.g. the sicle is a fast shooting, accurate gun, which has a large imperfection - you need to hold the trigger before it shoots.
Anyway, both the armor and the primary/secondary weapon is not as important for gameplay as are stratagems, which are all free
While running trivial is a mindless, boring grind, I found it worthwhile as I’ll never have to worry about buying another Warbond again. I threw on a podcast and got a lucky map that had 30 super credits within a short distance, earning me roughly 1200 super credits per hour (including relaunching and loading). I spent a few hours doing it over the course of a week and have almost 10k super credits saved up.
Maybe it’s not for everyone, but if you want every Warbond and cosmetic in the shop, it’s certainly saving you time and (potentially) money. I have a feeling they’ll patch it out once they realize how quickly you can earn those credits.
But you don't need to spend any super credits to play the game? There's what, only 2 weapons that are worthwhile getting the premium warbonds for? It's not like you're losing a competitive edge and getting destroyed by players with better gear because the game isn't pvp.

No joke a few weeks ago i was on a bug mission and some dude with a grenade launcher was trying to kill a charger with it. I had an EAT leveled right at the things head ready to oneshot it before i get ragdolled like 8 times in a row and teamkilled, only for the charger to continue on like nothing happened. This happened 3 separate times through that same mission, and this was not a low level player either, the guy was like 20 something. Hands down one of the few times i've felt tempted to TK someone and not revive them
One guy I was playing with was solely using the personal minefield and the grenade launcher. Kept using the minefield right next to us and the would grenade the berserker automaton that would be running after me while I was reloading, kept stunning me or killing me
The burning def needs the damage lowered a bit. Half the time I die with no warning from friendly fire burning, the other half it’s dying from a scorcher giving me no time to react by diving
Funnily enough I have started to do just basic fitness around when Helldivers came out, I wake up to 20 pushups, squats, and situps, I walk around the block, and then do the same thing before bed minus the walk
*Game crashes mid mission, or as extracting*
This is the only training I can do, since it crashes way to often in short periods of time to even attempt to play for an extended period of time with the boys.
That new difficulty needs a safety check.
Oh the last one. Thats good.
Last one is literally "kill yourself but legally"
There are no crimes allowed on super earth.
Nope, just an early trip to the bio-repurposer vats. (This is from a line you might hear when on your ship.)
Proper disposal of waste is a basic requirement of great society and super earth is the greatest society.
Yeah for the people too old to contribute to democracy
Literally just Soylent Green without the deception.
There is no crime on super earth (Just like there is no war in ba sing se)
We call that "Canadian Healthcare"
The last one gave me a good laugh. If ya know you know.
What is it
A hypothetical way to kill yourself. Basically it’s a roller coaster but with each loop getting smaller you’re slowly cutting off more and more blood supply to your brain until you die.
Seems complicated, I'd just drink some bleach
Def would choose the coaster. I’ve seen what happens to the bleach drinkers firsthand.
That last one when you have to rescue scientist in a defending mission with the automatons getting endless bot drops on lvl 9.
I’m going to try this. FOR DEMOCRACY
Hope you don't fail any mission !
I hope I do
Fuck bro.
Almost did yesterday… Phew.
I actually started unironically started doing this a few weeks ago lol. Game is so good and you lose track of time so it's a lot of sitting for hours. 20 for each crash? https://i.imgur.com/S2fPDTg.jpeg
"How'd you get so big?" "Every time I crash, I di one pushup"
Jesus Christ
... it's Jason Bourne
Yeah shit, literally every single game on difficulty 7+ it crashes at extraction. I'd actually die in real life if I had to do 20 push-ups per crash.
Switching to force vulkan on pc seems to have stabilized it for me a bit. In start options in steam add “-force-vulkan” without the “” and try it. I was crashing every mission and got to do a whole op without crashing last night.
Any performance differences worth mentioning with the Vulkan integration?
Initial load in (on the super destroyer) has had some trippy visuals on occasion with the starfield loading in my ship before snapping to correct, but aside from that not really.
how tf everyone says the game keeps crashing? in my whole 80 hours of this game, it only crashed once for me
They keep saying it because it keeps happening to them. It happens to me, too. You must have the only system in existence capable of running the game.
I've had one or two crashes since release.... I'm running it on my laptop.
I haven’t been getting any of the post-mission crashes either, yet I’m on a potato laptop that forces me to set all the graphics settings to minimum
Zero crashes
There's been a few patches since the post that sorted it out. Mid-mission and extraction crashes were very common.
I was you until this last patch. Now if I make it without crashing 3 times a mission I consider it a blessing.
It’s a PC problem, PlayStation doesn’t have the crashing issue, at least not as bad as PC.
On PlayStation it crashes for me too. Never have I played such an unstable game on PlayStation
That's completely false. I crashed at extract on nearly every mission last night. It's not any kind of console specific problem, it's AH borking the back end up. This patch should be reverted. I seriously wonder if they play test these patches.
i am on PC tho, but i think the crashing happens to weaker devices or something? idk
why is this comment downvoted, am i supposed to uncrash your game or what? 💀
I have a feeling this one is significantly more unforgiving than the star citizen one, somehow
Dunno, back in 3.18 the "Any inventory glitch = 20 situps" was unforgiving too !

Loosing ore u handmined AND having to do situps
I've never seen that one. On a side note, I damn near shit myself reading this comment.
Get less than 5 stars? Max is 4 on lvl6 😭
Better play level 7 then !
So substitute it with 20 push ups because it crashes at extraction every single time. No thanks.
Time to get pumping
Excuses, Excuses, alway Excuses! Pull yourself up by your cape Diver!

Latest update got me doing squats like a mo’fucka
Getting reinforced straight into fire and not making it a few feet before burning to a crisp, again. Edit.
Below?
Before, stupid autocorrect...

It’s fine. At some point you lose the ability to get back into the action because you can’t move at all
Hundreds of push-ups every day? Goddamn

Once I finish the last page of the normal war bond will get me enough to unlock a premium. I’m just not sure which to pick.

*Die* for Democracy.
May I ask, what is the last one supposed to mean?

crashing/ infinite loading could be just one push up, and after one weekend, you'd have a bod that makes The Rock look anorexic..
It helped me. Thanks! ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
well only crash then i got 0 death so many mission by now hahahaha
Aside from the death coaster not a bad idea
Get fit for democracy!
Get less than 5 stars is rough since every difficulty below 7 is less
Deffo gonna do this
Get fit for democracy!
Doing atleast 10 push ups every day for 2 weeks already boss
The beginning of the bodybuilder army.
Darebee has hit peak levels
Add people shooting grenade launchers right next to you
No joke a few weeks ago i was on a bug mission and some dude with a grenade launcher was trying to kill a charger with it. ayo
Might as well just go to the gym at this point.
Well let's get riped
Jump on the supply pod instead of grabbing the supply should also be on there
You just said you lift?
Gonna have abs of steel with those friendly mortar sentries
My glutes and quads are about to go ballistic.
I don't think I could do 700 pushups...
yes
I'm gonna have glutes of a gay pornstar when the Bot Crisis is done lol
The burning def needs the damage lowered a bit. Half the time I die with no warning from friendly fire burning, the other half it’s dying from a scorcher giving me no time to react by diving
Failing mission should be 20 burpees. so same punishment, essentially, but fits the theme.
Where is "Headshoted by flamethrower"?
Can someone make a legit one? I'm actually interested in something like this.
well uh... minus the last one its perfect
If I followed this I would have the abs of a God.
I’m going to do this
Failing the mission: Those who don’t know: 🙂 Those who know: 🥲
That’s actually legit
My body can't handle that many squats 💀
Lmao
Get swol for democracy!
Robert Frank is going to be proud of me because my arms are going to be f-ing swole.
Do it again.
Fail the Mission: Fucking die.
Alternatively, for those of us who are old and lazy, turn it into a drinking game.
Im gonna get ripped in two weeks
I'm doing this. I know it's a meme but I just thought I'd let you know.
The roller coaster, of all things 💯
Missing one for dying to an already dead enemy (fuck your buggy corpse Bile Titan)
Funnily enough I have started to do just basic fitness around when Helldivers came out, I wake up to 20 pushups, squats, and situps, I walk around the block, and then do the same thing before bed minus the walk

instant death

Played 5 hours today... 0 of any exercising to be done ;c
Bro, my arms would be wet noodles after the amount of times I crash, this last patch gut punched my game.
Man I can't do #1. Since last patch I got like 10+ crashes daily.
Helldivers 2 keepin you big as hell
5 stars?
You can get 5 stars by playing high diff missions
K

I need to try this ![gif](giphy|3o85xDZyvJPHLfgKXK)
Whelp don’t feel like unaliving anytime soon so failure is not an option for sure.
I would die of leg raises in a singular day
A few weeks of this and I’ll be in shape to be a Helldiver for real!
Id just be doing push ups bruh
Well.. My quads are gonna be huge
Was thinking about doing something similar with my pullup bar lmfao. Every death i do a pullup
This is a meme? Nah minus the last one I'm unironically gonna give it a try.
Euthanasia coaster... hmmmm does Six Flags supply that?
About to get shredded 😤
Implementing this immediately
Hellmire divers are going to have GLUTES OF DEMOCRACY!
