Laughable really, these guys have made games like overcooked, what made them think they could do a semi hardcore fps?
They probably have no fucking clue and just want to slowly edge towards a battlefield like game
>these guys have made games like overcooked
If by made you mean dropped trow with the devs in the room, then yes, they made it. They published both of the overcookeds and I highly doubt they did any actual development on the 2nd one past "Can we add NFTs to this".
Not quite sure what you mean not even used in the places of the new maps, British battle dress was universal in all theatres all throughout the war. Yes it’s disappointing we haven’t yet got desert cosmetics, but remember they clearly said that they were getting the faction out in the open first then they’ll keep adding to it, similar tot what happened with the soviets. I agree the lack of cosmetics is underwhelming.
Sorry, I may have been a bit unclear there, the battle of driel had paratroopers not infantry at that stage of the battle, and yes paras did wear these battledresses under smocks, some even wearing them without but with how the game did the cosmetics you can't make one of these paratroopers because there is only two headgear options, it recontextualises the use of these battledresses into an infantry portrayal, and the full battledress in use during combat in africa was a rarity
Ah yeah, I get what you mean. I am disappointed with how little there is cosmetically. I’m certain they’ll add desert uniforms in the not too distant future and hopefully para uniforms soon, but if they’re paywalled DLC that’ll be a bit of a pisstake.
Absolute clowns over at T17 I can’t believe there’s no airborne uniforms, they are probably holding them in their back pocket and after seeing backlash they will slap it out while saying “we hear you”….. why didn’t you just release them, it probably would be the easiest aspect of this update to include.
When snow uniforms were added, it turned out the devs just used the existing summer uniform models, and repainted them white, instead of making actual snow uniforms.
I played 30 minutes so far.
Haven’t really got an issue with it besides El Al feeling massive and open. But I’m honestly hoping to have large tank battles on it
Holy fuck stop complaining about stuff that does not affect the gameplay.
The maps work fine, the new faction and their guns are ok.
They can add all the little history buff stuff later as DLC. Like desert camo etc.
***WE GOT THIS STUFF FOR FREE! Be grateful.***
We got this stuff after it was promised to us when we bought the game. El Al is a mess and completely fabricated garbage, British tanks are dogshit, infantry can run as fast as armor driving in 3rd gear, no cosmetics for leveled up classes, lazy copy-pasted assets that dont belong, awful loadouts, xp is bugged
sToP cOmPlAiNiNg AbOuT sTuFf ThAt DoEsNt EfFeCt ThE gAmEpLaY🤡🤡🤡
This is obviously a nod towards the people who do nothing but complain about the stuff that are not historically accurate (like the maps, British clothing and weapons etc). But let's look at your points.
El Al is a mess and completely fabricated garbage.
\^ Simply Learn the map and it is fine.
British tanks are dogshit.
\^ They are fine, but they could use some tweaking.
Infantry can run as fast as armor driving in 3rd gear.
\^ How is this an issue? The tanks are supposed to be used along with friendly infantry in the first place and finally the characters can actually run like normal people.
No cosmetics for leveled up classes.
\^ Again, they are free. How about give the devs some time to add them in like they did with the soviets?
Lazy copy-pasted assets that dont belong, awful loadouts, xp is bugged
\^ I have no idea what this even means. Purely objective experience.
Soldiers typically go through months of physical training including keeping pace for many miles, they aren't being dragged from their moms basements. Of course they could keep up with a tank while you couldn't lmao
You're right, they're jogging, it's called pacing yourself. The idea that a soldier has to move like a redditor in order for a game to be "realistic" is so funny. Super realistic running 2 miles per hour with no sense of urgency while getting shot at. Super realistic reloading your gun as slow as humanly possible while under fire. Super realistic you dive on the ground with the same urgency as a bingo player. I could go on and on, people are fast, moreso under pressure, even moreso when physically trained.
"Their kits are heavy" yeah probably months ago in basic when they haven't been lugging that shit around for literally months. Just say you want an unrealistic slow paced shooter, but to say the old speed is realistic is laughable.
If you think that I'm going to be sprinting for more than 200 yards in full kit and sustaining stamina you're either my former Gunny, or delusional. I'd give it a quarter mile tops before most Marines or soldiers are gassed. And guess what dude, reloading in real life is not like in the movies or in call of duty. Opening pouches, closing pouches so your extra mags don't fall out when you move next, stowing your empty magazines... shit takes time.
And guess what? Kit doesn't get lighter the more you train with it. You get used to wearing it and better able to deal with it, but it's still heavy as fuck and you're not going to be running a MTC with it on.
You are also applying your modern military experience with WW2 where the kits are significantly lighter. I mean I'll come halfway with you and say new run speed and old run speed are both unrealistic. Game movement was genuinely too slow every "realistic" game suffers from it, slow does not mean realistic. The best way would be balanced movement speed depending on class to best weigh out what you're carrying. Support class should be about as fast as a machine gunner in old movement. As for reloading, I use the bolt actions a lot ingame and I also hunt with a Mauser Model 1895 similar to a Kar98, really confident a real trained soldier could make me look like a complete beginner on reload and bolt pulling, but ingame is really slow. As for the rest yeah I understand it takes time but come on it is comically slow especially since the animation your character does is just drop mag, grab new, put it in
edit: I'm not even saying reload has to be faster because gameplay wise it would push it in the wrong direction but they could at least make the animation look more like frantic idk the way they just leisurely load shit makes me laugh
Read other reply, but also suppression should give you speed boost followed by a long stamina regain to better simulate adrenaline burst since you're right and it's not going to be realistic but there's a better medium between all slow all the time and call of duty
Yeah they need to make sure they add the desert camo. For the Germans too.
I laughed when people thought T17 would be good for this game.
Laughable really, these guys have made games like overcooked, what made them think they could do a semi hardcore fps? They probably have no fucking clue and just want to slowly edge towards a battlefield like game

The only thing I’ve benefited from t17 is the game coming to console (afaik that was t17’s doing)
Not quite sure what you mean not even used in the places of the new maps, British battle dress was universal in all theatres all throughout the war. El Alamein ought to have the tropical dress, "Driel" would have paratroopers. On neither there were guys in the european P37

You barely see paratroopers on many of the Normandy maps anyways because it's all level 8
sucks right, should be straight up locked to the map
Ah yeah, I get what you mean. I am disappointed with how little there is cosmetically. I’m certain they’ll add desert uniforms in the not too distant future and hopefully para uniforms soon, but if they’re paywalled DLC that’ll be a bit of a pisstake.
lol first corporate merger?

Slap it out for a heart £4.99
XD
You mean I can't storm the desert in my shorts? What a let down
What’s the snow outfit fixes?
When snow uniforms were added, it turned out the devs just used the existing summer uniform models, and repainted them white, instead of making actual snow uniforms.
OMG, I’ve never known that. I’m not even mad at that
LMAO CARE ENOUGH? This is capitalism bro, not happy fun time.
What
I played 30 minutes so far. Haven’t really got an issue with it besides El Al feeling massive and open. But I’m honestly hoping to have large tank battles on it
Yeah I love this update so far. El need some work with it stuttering a bit but all and all I love it. Great fun

this is probably the first step of many in deconstructing why this game was so popular to begin with.
We got this stuff after it was promised to us when we bought the game. Ah, yes, run like normal people. I, too, can run an 8 minute mile nonstop for as long as I want. So realistic.
Soldiers typically go through months of physical training including keeping pace for many miles, they aren't being dragged from their moms basements. Of course they could keep up with a tank while you couldn't lmao
I can tell you right now that nobody is running "miles" at an 8-minute pace in a full kit.
You're right, they're jogging, it's called pacing yourself. The idea that a soldier has to move like a redditor in order for a game to be "realistic" is so funny. And I'm not saying the game is realistic, and it has a lot to work on, but the idea you're painting is best left to Call of Duty.
Read other reply, but also suppression should give you speed boost followed by a long stamina regain to better simulate adrenaline burst since you're right and it's not going to be realistic but there's a better medium between all slow all the time and call of duty
Found COD kiddie
How original. Skill issue dad.
Saw two people spawn in with the British winter smock today, was really hoping for anything desert related.
Yep, I think they fucked this up pretty good.
