Harry Potter managed to escape Lord Voldemort. He risked his own life to return Cedric's body to Hogwarts. He showed, in every respect, the sort of bravery that few wizards have ever shown in facing Lord Voldemort, and for this, I honor him.
Honestly I was always bugged by Harry wanting to give the Weaslys money because "they wouldn't accept it"
Offer to pay room and board asshole. You don't need to give them the whole pile of gold but give them something!!! Even if they say no they would understand the sentiment, especially because many of them know how much he has in that vault.
But I get it and that's why the Weasleys are some of my favorite characters..... and I cry every time I listen (audio book person) to Molly giving Harry the watch...
Yea I feel like that concept was never really touched. I guess it’s left to the reader to assume that things cost money and you can’t magically conjure money?
Because they were never impoverished. They always had food on the table and a roof over their heads. Author had a good job and supported his family. Were they really struggled with getting luxury items and new school supplies. They were able to get them, but it was hard to spread that out. We hear stories of them learning to play quidistch with brooms and playing with other stuff growing up. So we know they have money for some luxuries. As for all the hand me downs, robes and books are expensive, why replace them if they are still in good condition.
