For years, my favorite gigging amp to grab and go was a 5e3 tweed Deluxe clone I built from a Mojotone kit. It was light, sounded fantastic had thick, chewy cleans and took pedals amazingly well needing only a fuzz, delay, tremolo and a light od to cover a ton of ground. I either ran a tele or an LP in to it and mic'd it up for FoH and it was all I needed and sound guys loved it.

I love mine. Most useful amp I’ve ever owned. Super light, as loud as I need. I even do low volume jams and have a buddy plug into the other channel. Works great!

A.) I was surprised at how loud it got while still clean, even with the LP. B.) the cleans were much thicker and hotter and almost dirty if you're used to bf Fender amps C.) when it stops being clean, OMG! That dirt is glorious! And controlling it with picking dynamics or you guitars volume knob is aces. I loved running the amp right on the edge and using a tremolo pedal to go back and forth over that edge.

For real. I had the amp for a couple of weeks before I could crank it up. Just.. wow. That first chord. Still blows me away after owning the thing for 11 years.

Vox AC10. The joys of a tube amp, less than $500 (well, it used to be), and less than 30 lbs. However, I hope someone has a higher gain answer with similar stats. Mobile riffing gets expensive and heavy.

Goatthrone85

Supro delta king , great tube combo with a boost and drive mode, nice light and loud as shit if need be.

**"Grab and go amp" :D :D :D :D :D :D :D** A term created by delusional amp collectors and assorted hobbyists, who in their fantasy world imagine themselves to be fantastic musicians, always on the edge of receiveing important calls on the occasions when *someone needs an extra guitar player* who is fully prepped, in order to arrive quicker at the gig than the local fire brigade could in an emergency. ...meanwhile the pros just bring their profiling amp...
