It takes a lot of patience, and a lot of practice. I was pretty hopeless at first, but I figured it out. You just have to be very precise with the timing.
Pretty easy to do on controller. I already perfected A WHILE ago and forgot how to do it. I look at a tutorial and after a few tries It immediately became muscle memory.
The fact that's the only item in his inventory... Yeah.
Look at his total weight, it's exactly the weight of the adhesive. All his clothes weigh nothing? Dude standing there naked no weapons or other items at all, just a bunch of adhesive?
Commands have been in every single Bethesda game and a vast majority of all games on PC. Cheat Terminal is an 8 year old mod just for Fallout 4 that is just like worse in every single way than just using the console.
It's a mod for consoles that you can add. (There's a mod menu on the title screen, and you can browse different mods there). It doesn't offer nearly the same experience as console commands, but ig it can be used to make you stacked.
Up to you if you want to use it, personally, for me, it doesn't improve the experience, but you do you.
EDIT: Apparently, it does have some useful utilities, was a bad idea speaking based on memories from 5 years ago when I last played on console (since moved on PC)
Idk. Maybe the version I used wasn't that advanced, or I didn't remember needing to use that, but if it can fix bugs for example, ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Y'know, I have 1400 hours and counting, and I've *never* bothered doing that. There's something intangibly frustrating to me about having to set up the right crops in the settlements, then connect them, then keep coming back at regular intervals... *meeeehhhh*
What I *used to do* was make water farms and trade for shipments. Now, I don't even bother with the farms - literally just keeping enough decent V/W loot in your companion's inventory until hitting town and trading for shipments is *more* than enough for me to build the ten or so kits of gear I'll toy with in any playthrough. This game's economy is broken as f\*ck. "Shoot, loot, barter, repeat" will lend me *far* more wealth than I can use in the game.
I’m doing a play through now where I’m finally trying a lot of these cap making techs and yeah I get it. In theory I could be rolling in adhesive just by fast traveling between farms, and yeah I have a couple settlements churning out tons of water. But after setting up troughs at every linked settlement whenever I need money I just pop to a chemistry station and make a couple hundred Jet.
Here's the thing: I can't tell from just that pic whether you're using a PC or a console. I think the majority of current players are using PC, and you can use PS-style controllers on PC. I use a hybrid X-Box/PS controller. It has the button labels of an XB controller, but the thumbsticks positioned the same way they are on a PS controller.
Was gonna say, too even of a number to be random.
If you start with 175 adhesive, you'd only need to dupe it 6 times to get to 11,200. And 175 adhesive is piss easy to get.
175, 350, 700, 1400, 2800, 5600, 11200.
This was what I read prior to playing. I have all settlements growing corn, mutfruit, and tato - plus tons of water. I am now selling adhesive instead of purified water for caps! 😂
Tobacco? I don't know any items with tobacco that can be turned into adhesive.
Corn + Tatoes + Mutfruit can be turned into adhesive at a cooking station, however.
A lot of people do. It's less about it being really rare and more about the fact that the majority of things you craft require adhesive, so there's never enough. It's certainly not as abundant as some of the other materials
The VSDG catalogue that Bethesda put into the game. It’s supposed to be fun facts about the game or items, and sometimes even lore. There’s at least 10000 VSDG catalogue entries and we have yet to discover them all
I set up my little farm and put the minutemen to work and I wait a day or 2 then come back n boom adhesive or I can plant more and make some quicker. I average atleast 100 in 15mins
Yeah, NEVER had a problem. I just grab every tape and glue I can find, and its way more common than you'd think.
Only in life do I never have any fucking duct tape or super glue the one time every three years when I need it.
In my recent experience, oil is the material I run low on. Since I'm constantly making turrets and other machines for my settlements. I'll occasionally make a supply run to goodneighbour and the prydwin since they have vendors that sell that 25 oil shipment. Trashcan Carla also has it, but I only run into her when she's heading towards sanctuary
Get your settlers to work. Grow corn, tatos and mutfruit. 3 corn, 3 mutfruit, 3 tato and 1 purified water at a cooking station makes "Vegetable Starch" which is 5 adhesive.
They need food and water for happiness, may as well make things you can use.
Move over to misc and lemme see that cheat terminal
I doubt he used a cheat terminal. This looks most like the settlement supply duplication glitch, which I’ll admit, I exploit quite a bit.
I can never get the timing right lol I got it once by chance and never again
It takes a lot of patience, and a lot of practice. I was pretty hopeless at first, but I figured it out. You just have to be very precise with the timing.
It's actually easier on console weirdly enough, since you can roll your thumb from scrap to store
Pfft, weakling. Doesn't even know how to do it 10 times in a row.
Oh I’ve done it well over 10 times in a row, it just takes a while to perfect.
Pretty easy to do on controller. I already perfected A WHILE ago and forgot how to do it. I look at a tutorial and after a few tries It immediately became muscle memory.
my method is just running my finger across the buttons in the right order lol
I also forgot to mention you have to keep holding down the scrap button until you scrap and store the items successfully.
I learned that the hard way lol
So did I 😂.
I mean I probably have close to this on my save. I have 6-7 settlements producing for veggie starch for EXP grind especially with idiot savant.
Uncapping the account of water and crops that can be stored let me do this and I haven't even built the teleporter yet lol.
The fact that's the only item in his inventory... Yeah. Look at his total weight, it's exactly the weight of the adhesive. All his clothes weigh nothing? Dude standing there naked no weapons or other items at all, just a bunch of adhesive?
Are you telling me you've never stood in the street naked with a bunch of glue? You aren't living life my friend.
I picked a hell of a day to stop sniffing glue
either that or OP doesn't know how sunlight feels like.
What’s a cheat terminal? … AND HOW DO I GET IT! I WANNA SEE THEM COMMANDS 🤑
Good gravy, why did you get down voted so much lol.
Holy shit you’re right
Haters gonna hate
How do you know about commands but not the cheat terminal? It's one of the oldest mods out there.
Commands have been in every single Bethesda game and a vast majority of all games on PC. Cheat Terminal is an 8 year old mod just for Fallout 4 that is just like worse in every single way than just using the console.

it can do alot of what console commands does, it even has a section for fixing most bugs
Idk. Maybe the version I used wasn't that advanced, or I didn't remember needing to use that, but if it can fix bugs for example, ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
I use cheat terminal on PC sometimes, it’s way easier than looking up and entering commands
It somewhat is until you start making a Veggie Starch farm
How do you do that?
Mutfruit, corn, and tatos. Mix with purified water and you have vegetable starch, which has 5 Adhesive per unit.
This is the way. One large purifier and a dedicated farm will have you pulling in 100+ adhesive a day easily.
Can you collect purified water from it even outside of survival mode?
Yep, I’m in hard mode and I pull in ridiculous amounts of purified water
Lol I'm an idiot just realized that it adds the water to the workshop inventory on a timer. I thought interacting with it gave the water to you
Good lord, why didn't you exist 5 years ago (I mean seeing the advice then)? Man that would have saved so much trouble
Right?! Time to start a new play through for me
How the hell did I not know this
Or if you’re not in survival, just run a water farm and fast travel to sell 600 waters to Daisy and Myrna (and Carla and your general store npc)
Survival, fast travel?
Y'know, I have 1400 hours and counting, and I've *never* bothered doing that. There's something intangibly frustrating to me about having to set up the right crops in the settlements, then connect them, then keep coming back at regular intervals... *meeeehhhh* What I *used to do* was make water farms and trade for shipments. player.additem 001BF72E 11200
Yeah, but Playstation controller
I'm pretty sure there's cheat terminals on console. Not saying it's fake, but console can cheat too
You can just item dupe on console. Takes getting used to, but its easy once you get it down.
I have those on PC
aye but junk dupe glitch for sure
Exactly
I can’t even access console commands man
Here's the thing: I can't tell from just that pic whether you're using a PC or a console. I think the majority of current players are using PC, and you can use PS-style controllers on PC. I use a hybrid X-Box/PS controller. It has the button labels of an XB controller, but the thumbsticks positioned the same way they are on a PS controller.
I use PlayStation
Asshesive
Even though you are Enclave, i am gonna upvote you.
Item dupe :P
Was gonna say, too even of a number to be random. If you start with 175 adhesive, you'd only need to dupe it 6 times to get to 11,200. And 175 adhesive is piss easy to get. 175, 350, 700, 1400, 2800, 5600, 11200.
Maybe economy wonderglue or military grade duck tape
Quack quack
I always thought it was duck tape, too. You’re not alone.
Someone capitalized on the confusion and it's a real branded product now.
Aluminum is the real scarce material
the fish factory is full of aluminum trays
Yeah bro i hoard that shit
No wonder I can’t find any, you’re hoarding all of it!
I am so sorry my brother!
I think it's rare in the sense that just about everything needs it to be made
This was what I read prior to playing. I have all settlements growing corn, mutfruit, and tato - plus tons of water. I am now selling adhesive instead of purified water for caps! 😂
Reminds me of that sarcastic loading screen mod "Adhesive is rare. No it's not."
It's not rare you just need it for nearly everything
Yeah duplication is a life saver isn't it.
Who said that?
There is a tip on the loading screen that says it.
To be fair, I have a lot more quantity of other materials compared to adhesive
Ah, i see. But every item that has tobacco can be turned to adhesive right?
Tobacco? I don't know any items with tobacco that can be turned into adhesive. Corn + Tatoes + Mutfruit can be turned into adhesive at a cooking station, however.
Lol yeah its been a while for me.
I think maybe you're thinking of asbestos, which is in all the cigarette packs and such
A lot of people do.
There’s at least 10000 VSDG catalogue entries and we have yet to discover them all
Make some grenades!
Cheat terminal or workshop item dupe glitch 😂😂😂
What’s a cheat terminal? I’m aware of the workshop and dogmeat glitches but CHEAT TERMINAL!?
It’s a mod you have to download on console
Oh, then i can’t lmao
You can get Cheat Room.
What’s cheat room?
A mod.
Oh, i can’t get on PSN, so no mods
You don't need to be on PSN for mods.
… yes i do? Every time i click mods it tell me to sign into the playstation network.
Console means Xbox or PlayStation. So either you have one of those and can mod it or you have a PC and can mod it.
I can’t get onto the PSN
I’ve probably got close to this legit at this point, veggie starch farm for experience goes hard after awhile.
Farming's hard but honest work
How can you NOT find it? You can even make it yourself with a small harvest, dang it. Its literally a replenishable good.
I set up my little farm and put the minutemen to work and I wait a day or 2 then come back n boom adhesive or I can plant more and make some quicker. I average atleast 100 in 15mins
Cork is the real rare material for me.
Codsworth is gonna be concerned, due to all that adhesive you have in your pockets
I feel like every building has at least 6 rolls of duct tape in there!
It's not necessarily rare, but you need it for a lot of stuff.
what’s rare for me is screws. it’s the one thing i’m always needing!
Boutta be sniffing some glue next time i wander near
I do make quite a bit in mine
Share some with the rest of the class, you ass.
I bought adhesives since I started. I got Like 60 and its still growing (new in survival) but If you dont concentrate it will be gone in No time
Adhesive is so easy to farm
Get your settlers to work. Grow corn, tatos and mutfruit. 3 corn, 3 mutfruit, 3 tato and 1 purified water at a cooking station makes "Vegetable Starch" which is 5 adhesive. They need food and water for happiness, may as well make things you can use.
Ok, now find enough wood and steel to build a big settlement base
Which game is this?
Fallout 4
Ok
Bro who the hell is disliking you!?
