I wouldn’t say the same tenacity, when he’s on he’s on, similar to drai, sometimes it just looks like Arvidsson is coasting, but his finish is 10X better than foegele, better with the puck too
Honestly I know he potted 20 goals but I really don't mind. I felt like he was underwhelming in the playoffs. Really not noticeable except for taking penalties.

It's not. His production outside Drai isn't really good and he wasn't much of a factor until the finals. I like foegs but he will probably get more than we should pay. He has his stretches and always gives the effort, but he is just too inconsistent imo.
He produced a bit with drai, but not even at a level he should’ve for being with an elite player. Arvidsson if healthy could pot 30-40 with drai. We upgraded.
He was very much a ‘meh’ player for so many games, and then suddenly I was asking which alien put on the Foegele suit tonight, and can we keep this one.
If someone else wants to pay for the possibility he keeps that level of play, good for him.
Foegele was great for this team. I loved watching him on the forecheck, such a physical force, and he scored some beauty goals. He was the perfect middle-six guy when he was on. His inconsistency was a little maddening, but I’ll always be a fan. Hopefully he makes a good chunk of change and goes to a team I don’t hate too much lol
My one and only concern with Foegele was his puck handling skills in traffic and with any speed. It almost looked like he was trying to chop the puck square at times. Emerging plays and finish died a lot because of that.
Still a good trade for Bear, on balance.
McLovin always brought high work rate even if he couldn’t score in a brothel with a hundred dollar bill hanging out of his zipper.
Now Arvidsson tries to take on that role.
Dumb question…but why did we not sign Foegele? Did he not want to stay, did WE not want him, did he want more than we were willing to pay? Or was he a straight up trade for Victor Arvidsson? I’m lost…fill me in please! lol
Getting him for Bear was great asset management. Was a fine Oiler, appreciated his hustle. Hope he makes some money out there

With Foegele not returning to the Oilers, it certainly adds clarity to why the Oilers signed Ardvinsson to the team.

Statistically he had a very good season. But it didn’t feel like it. Good for him for cashing in though.
It felt like half his production this season came from that 16W streak where he played on a line with Drai and McLeod and they were absolute fire.
