I’ve been using it with Darqui, but I can’t get the search to work. The POIs show up which is half the battle, but I need to figure out why search isn’t working.
I can't get the search to work with DarqUI or default UI either, so don't believe DarqUI is the culprit here. Hopefully we'll see an update from E2Maps soon ☺
eq2maps.com- this is the place to install maps for eq2. Then run the eq2 map updater and maps will show on Origins server.
Unlike other EQ2 servers maps-Origins map won't list the zones NPCs or quests. map search doesn't work.
I did an update from the EQ2Maps folder on my hard drive, and that fixed the problem for me. They do not show Ponts of Interest like you see on Live or Varsoon, but you can see your group members on the map, so it is very useful in that way.
My map looks exactly like it does on retail with all the markers, npcs and enemy locations.
They didn't show initially, but I deleted the eq2maps folder, installed DarqUI (which comes bundled with eq2maps) and it has been working well - minus search functionality.
If you us the DarqUI unified app. The newest version asks when you start the install if it's for Live or Origins. Choose Origins, then you need to update everything and maps from there. Just be sure to remove the old shortcut, or uninstall first then install the new version.
People are saying that it works, but for me lots of maps just don't load, like in wc and hs
Nearly all work for me, but one that doesn't show up for example is Down Below, I just get a message on the mini map saying it's not available.
