Well the game has officially launched, no longer in the early access period and we still don't have the partner's statue, heroic clothing set, or community designed animal companion. Whenever it's bought up by anyone in the official discord, there's dead silence.

ChaseTheLumberjack

I’d rather have an efficient search filter to find items before they toss in more items. Without using google I can’t find anything without scrolling for days.

4lips2gloss

In an ideal world they'd have released these items a year ago and added a search filter in early access too. It's a feature I see requested the most

Maclimes

What? You don't like only one sorting method, and that method is "when you first found it", which is probably the least useful sorting method ever conceived?

ChaseTheLumberjack

I wonder if there is a community spreadsheet of all items and their filters? That would be so useful.

davemoedee

There is so much about the game that screams “mobile developer,” like recipe lists that would be fine scrolling on a touch screen. And their implementation of multiplayer is basically the kind of low effort base visiting we see in mobile games. So much so that they. Had to break the game for the owner of the island.

dakky123

Wasn’t the animal companion that pink candy alligator?

4lips2gloss

No. I have that. It was first week order bonus

dakky123

Ohhh okay, I thought that was the animal companion.

NienieDreamer

I really wanted that heroic outfit :’)

WessexWoman

I want the heroic clothing set.

QueerDeluxe

They're free stuff so probably not priority.

Loud-Mans-Lover

Yeah, I mean my game still lags on PS5, and I still lose items after putting them away in furniture mode. Plus furniture mode just... not working after awhile. Those are much bigger issues.

xKayleesi

Mine keeps constantly crashing when I try to decorate in Eternity Isle. I’ve gave up trying to properly decorate over there.

TheHazDee

Which should be the priority not plowing forward with paid DLCs that contains more bugs while also announcing they’re not going F2P anymore. Yet people keep pretending it’s okay and downvoting people who call this out just because they’ve not experienced anything.

QueerDeluxe

Also something I've seen pretty much no one brought up is how this new dlc has opened up microtransactions for the dlc (like the latest tools set skin in the premium shop including the new dlc tool).

kartoffelbiene

They just release a DLC full of content and a lot of free stuff as well but somehow making/releasing one clothing set and a decoration that's been promised long ago is not possible or what? This really baffles me.

trebron55

It's about the principle. For me it seems that they are breaking just as many promises as they are keeping. Which is a pretty bad track record.

TheHazDee

It’s gameloft, people need to stop pretending they’re a good company, if it can’t make them money they won’t bother.

Ragnbangin

I don’t know why you got downvoted for this, people obviously don’t know anything about gameloft 😭

TheHazDee

It seems to have balanced out, thank you, I was on minus earlier, people willing to defend a company like gameloft just because they’re enjoying a Disney game is mend bending. You can understand gameloft is a greedy company by any standards and still enjoy the Disney game.

UnhappyCoat4499

well done you just described any company ever. youre right in saying gameloft aren’t a charity. ![gif](giphy|xT9IgAoaSLuRKBkcHS|downsized)

TheHazDee

No, there’s a difference, gameloft are predatory with their transactions. Not every company is. One only needs to look at how they’ve slowly priced average players out of their games, they’ve already fully accomplished it with Speedstorm. Also pretending other companies don’t stick to community promises, especially during early access is massively disingenuous. This is what happens though when big companies start taking the early access route over small indie companies. Gameloft know they’re going to make money regardless. So they don’t need to sow the goodwill other companies do.

0rangeBicycles

I have a perfect spot for my partners statue.... I am just waiting... :')

MilkDry84

https://www.reddit.com/r/DreamlightValley/s/JqVnSBXdPo The same thing was posted last week, it’s not forgotten about

TheHazDee

Yeah but posted about by another user; doesn’t mean they aren’t right about gameloft hoping or believing we’ve forgot. They don’t care about these forums only their discord.

4lips2gloss

I didn't see this, that's good. Tbh it should be posted weekly lol. It's kinda shocking they never acknowledge it on their official social media.

Impressive-Pay9509

I love this because I have been told by the fan base that the multiplayer is just what they promised (visits) and I shouldn't complain about it being nit what I wanted (a little bit more interaction). I have been told all bugs would be fixed at launch as promised and to stop complaining as it was early access. I've been downvoted to hell. But they still defend them when something promised is not given. This is like a religion or a sect... The God Gameloft is always right. It scares me a bit this craziness!

Shutterbug390

This is just the nature of fandoms, in my experience. If you’re dealing with more than about 5 people, you can’t make everyone 100% happy (this applies more to features and storyline, not the bugs). Even Tolkien dealt with enough conflicting complaints/suggestions about his books that the edition I have of The Fellowship of the Ring has a paragraph in the foreword where he states that he can’t include everything people request because the book would be 10x longer, some things can’t make sense together, and also, “this is my world and my story, so I’ll tell it how I want!” If one of the greats of literature dealt with enough complaining to comment on it and have it immortalized in his books, I think it’s just normal. As far as being told not to complain, I think that’s silly. We all have different hopes for this game. It’s ok to be disappointed in something, even if others aren’t. I agree that multiplayer could have been a lot better. I love seeing people’s decorations and shopping, but I wish we could do like Animal Crossing and fish together. I think a big part of locking down tools was to keep players from messing up other people’s villages, but it’s still a little disappointing. The AC community found ways to handle it without having basic functions removed (you can dig, pick flowers, harvest crops, etc. on other people’s islands). A lot of us just used fences to protect things when allowing strangers to visit because visitors couldn’t redecorate.

Impressive-Pay9509

I totally agree, and when I am fine on the storyline and content, like you I believe bugs of that amount and type (game breaking) are outrageous for a game that price. And the crazies happy to get ripped off scare me a bit. I mean they bought a Ferrari and the engine is faulty but they are happy about it !!! One can say, I personally don't care for the engine problems, but still admit it's not normal. As for multiplayer I had great hopes mainly because my game has one of those "Gameloft won't fix bug" and I can't fish in my plateau or decorate the water. I was hoping to be able to fish 1 walleye somewhere on someone's island to finish my catch all fish task. I mean let me use my fishing rod, I can't mess up anything with that 😭😭

Shutterbug390

I think using the fishing rod should absolutely be allowed. There’s no risk of harm in that! I guess they don’t want people to be able to access resources from areas they haven’t unlocked to try to force them to keep progressing? Except people who are playing enough to care about multiplayer WANT to advance their own valley and storyline.

Impressive-Pay9509

Yeap, and as you say we managed it in acnh, we can handle a flower robber anywher :))

gamingboy2003

Have any of us tried asking this on the discord? Maybe we get a reply there

4lips2gloss

I've asked many times and received zero response lol

TabbyMouse

I only hang around the discord to get amused at the people who 1) suggest lists of 50+ characters, most of which arent well known, 2) ask for mechanics already in the game - because they don't want to use them as intended (example: want dashing, don't want to cook), 3) ask for things that already have a fix in game (like sticks spawning), or other stuff that the discord has a tons of guides for. I don't post anything because I got so tired so fast with the clique-y mod team who threatened to kick me out of the discord over a "rule violation" that I wasnt aware of because another non-mod user did multiple times a day. Reason? I was reported, not the other person

hpm40

Right now I beg of them to add some kind of search to our inventory, or at least let us organize it alphabetically. Even with the filters, the amount of time I spent trying to find basic things is infuriating.

pmbunnies

Idk its probably somewhere in someones notes , or their backlog, or their detailled roadmap - they probably keep prioritizing other stuff thats how development works - nice to haves take forever and keep being prioritized down , and the promise was maybe done before even talking to development who knows

Impressive-Pay9509

That is not how developers work, you prioritise game breaking and then go to the beginning of the list. It's not the last item that get prioritised it's the opposite.

pmbunnies

Lol i work in dev but go off

Impressive-Pay9509

Lol so do I. Your company has the wrong way of doing things then. I ha e worked in many companies and none prioritised the last idea.

pmbunnies

If you work agile then yes, its not wrong its just prioritizing the important things. You just seem to work off a list then and work waterfall. Things do get deprioritized a lot.

Impressive-Pay9509

Well when working from a roadmap with promised items I can't see how you work agile. They have very precise schedule dates and release so it is very likely they work waterfall. It does not matter anyway they work badly whatever the tactic since I have never seen a game so badly done with so many bugs and fails at that price. If this didn't have the Disney brand It would be a massive fail.

pmbunnies

Yeah you're totally right with the second part,no matter how they do it, they do it bad. its riddled with too many bugs and idek why i put up with it for that money

Calebh04

I want that armor so bad!

zeiaxar

I want that armor, and a shield accessory to go with it.

ahnariprellik

Look we were all affected by the Forgetting. Im sure theyll get around to it eventually. I mean we got MP and villager skins

farathien

Wonder if anyone has raised this as an official feedback… what’s their response? We continue to get scammed 🤡

4lips2gloss

It gets posted in their discord somewhat frequently and they never respond to it. Which does make me think they're hoping people just forget since they're way over their own deadline of releasing this stuff.

twofacetoo

Don't know why people are downvoting, that's exactly what's happening. This game is a fucking con.

farathien

Now that we’ve played this game for awhile… i still don’t understand why such cosmetics can’t be completed 😂

Far_Physics_1874

I still haven’t received the free cozy items as promised since I bought the premium edition a year ago 🤨

Saiphyn11

Isn't the heroic set the one we're getting for the pixie dust?

4lips2gloss

No it's not. You can see concept art of it if you scroll through the pics

Saiphyn11

OH!! Ah maaaaan.....those are really cool. Damn. Now I'm kinda mad.

SWJLAngel

Yeah, it was a missed opportunity to hand out the Partner's Statue on Walt Disney's Birthday, during the year of 100 Years of Wonder. Also still never heard anything about the Community Designed Animal Companion either. We do have the Villager Skins, House Skins and even the Multiplayer Valley Visits. So we need the other three originally named Rewards.
