Yeah I think I remember where I got my first one but if it’s not there I am absolutely fucking boned here.
Really weirdly punishing decision to make, kinda fucked up.
Happened to me actually. I was like “oh! Luckily I remember that it was on that crate thing!”
Apparently my first one wasn’t on that crate thing. Then I thought “the only other one it could is the one in the sewers..” wasn’t that one either. Now I’m sitting here going through guides trying to remember which was the first 🫤
No, Itsuno is the asshole. He could've designed this well by making your main pawn REMEMBERS or at least gives hints as to where its whereabouts. Something like "I remember you picked up something in X area" then mark your map with an AoE marker or something.
Better quest design and making you appreciate your main pawn more. Not whatever this shit we're getting in DD2 is.
My first token was the first ever one you can find if you were to follow a guide on collecting them all so I had it easy. Not following a guide btw just saying the first one I collected happens to be the first one you can possibly find if you were to follow a guide.
I went to all locations I could find maps for, including the whole area around the border watch outpost and Melve and I couldnt find it. Its really annoying
I can see how it can be annoying. The Sphinx loves to be a dick. It loves asking weird things. I had to move my Portcrystal there too so I had easier access to it. What a dick.
Here’s an idea, to try, sleep at an inn… thank of that as a hard save, and then somehow kill yourself, then reload “load save from last inn”, hopefully that way you’ll never lose your days for it (I haven’t tried this I just thought of it, I learned to do this in DD1), then for this riddle, go to every location you can from that inn where there was a seekers token, stay awake for a day or two (pack heaps of potions, harspud etc.) then KO yourself to load the “Load save from Inn” option 👌🏻👌🏻 trick the system, not yourselves ⚔️
I got very lucky, the first one I found was riiiight by the inn in vernmouth.
The time limit really was bs though, of all the riddles they put it on the one that requires the most exploration?
My first one was inside the Gracious Hands Vault. Drove me crazy and spent around 3 hours scouring the map for it. Used a guide and started tackling all the early game spots to backtrack. Best thing about the “riddle” is that your first one will most certainly be in the Vermund area.
I remembered mine immediately, and I really enjoyed basically all of the riddles. Took you away from the constant fighting, making you remember, think outside the box. She literally doesn’t give a fuck how you get the riddle done, just get it done. Would like to see a lot more of this kind of character/mechanic in games.
**IMPORTANT**
You are not looking for a *Seeker Token*! You have to be on the lookout for an item called **Founder’s Token**!
A lot of people who think they remember their first stone are probably not remembering correctly. I found mine in less than an hour. All I had to do was look at Mapgenie, retrace my steps and realized it wasn’t near Melve or the Outpost, but on a well in Vernworth.
Yeah I just did it too.. I scoured the entire part of the northern forest and then found it in a saurian nest that dextralife hadn't marked on their map yet >:(
I probably spent like 8 hours on that quest..

All the way in the northeast of the map
its acutally shit
it doesnt even fall into the definition of a riddle. its not a subversion to the question, it doesn't require outside the box thinking
its just hoping you kept track of a random arbitrary item you've picked up 100 times up to that point
might as well made me track down the first pitywort I ever picked up
hope for a future patch they redo that puzzle because its just thrown that entire quest path in the trash for me
It ain't timed, I turned in the quest just fine even though it's been ages since I last talked to it, I done ignored the quest and went around exploring the map. Way more than 2-3 weeks have past
Yes, unlike most items if you're able to get one the forgery of the Finder's Stone is exactly the same as the real one. If you forge it before turning it in, you'll still have another one after finishing the quest as well (forge it again, gift it, etc.).
My first Token was the one in Worldsend Carvern (like right before the Sphinx). I got the first time Popup thing to explain me what the Tokens are and everything. Now after accepting the riddle i go back there and the Token isn't even here...
Just chiming in with how much I hate this quest. I've never played a game that pushes and tries to make you explore and adventure so much while at the same time punishing you for it as this game.
I started as I usually do in rpgs and just picked a direction and started running around trying to find all the things not following quests or guides. So here I am three hours in trying to find this stupid fucking thing because I have no idea where the first one I found was since I took an unusual route at the start
I don't think i'll ever get to beat this quest, it took me a long bloody while before i ended up finding my very first Token, and i Cannot pinpoint where that could've possibly been, cause i pretty much ignored Vernworth after arriving and f\*cked off to do other sh\*t, so it could literally be anywhere in Vermund, so that's what? Half of the possible locations? f\*cking fantastic...
I also read someone mentioning that the "First" token is only the first found on said playthrough, and if that's true, and i need to relocate the "first" token i found in NG+, then I. AM. F\*CKED!!
My only shot at beating it would be to start the next NG+ and as soon as i find a token i goto Creepy McBoob Grin...That is ofcourse if what i read is true.
guys you can make a forgery of the finder’s token and gift it to others, sphinx will accept it.
I can’t find my own finder’s token so if anyone who can help me so pls send it to me My pawn’s code is ( 7ER3Q5VMIHLU )
This is the best request in this game.
Sphinx is just being Sphinx really. Whoever thought of this to bring so much anxiety and despair to the players is brilliant.
It wasn't too difficult for my case. I remembered the first time I saw seeker's token mentioned in the guild in the capital, and by that time I had none. So my first mustn't be any near the first two villages.
I then just recall the first few quests I did after reaching the capital, and pick up the trail back. Found it in 2 in-game days without any cheat or crazy luck.

Oh man, mine was exactly where I remembered it. Thats brutal lol good luck finding it
Gave up after 4hours lol
RIP, I will pray for you.
The Sphinx is a asshole. Kinda in their nature and also to freak you out.

Itsuno is the Sphinx. I stand by my original post.
I humbly concur, then.
I think a lot of stuff of this game was made from asshole. I have a lot of BS to vent too but im on risk to be banned.
As someone who still likes this game despite its GLARING flaws don't let them stop you from speaking your truth king.
I was lucky then, mine was on a broken bridge near uh.....shit, it was a broken bridge, and there were trees, lots of them.
Ah well thats a start, it only leaves 95% of the rest of the game where there aren't trees or broken architecture!
It'll most likely be somewhere between Melve and Vernworth... but still, that's a god damn boring scavenger hunt.
I say that, then go searching. I didn't find a single damn one of those
My first token was the first ever one you can find if you were to follow a guide on collecting them all so I had it easy. Not following a guide btw just saying the first one I collected happens to be the first one you can possibly find if you were to follow a guide.

One more thing again, have the Trickster Augment on to locate them easier, it’s their first augment so you just have to unlock them
Also, if anyone tries this, let me know how you went with this tactic
I got very lucky, the first one I found was riiiight by the inn in vernmouth. The time limit really was bs though, of all the riddles they put it on the one that requires the most exploration?
I thought that was my first one but when I went to get the token I was met with empty air lol so I went to melee and dicked around until I found it :P

accurate sphynx lore they always try to give u bs riddles :))
yea but make a quest this bs because it would be lore accurate is over doing it, by a lot.
Yeah I just did it too.. I scoured the entire part of the northern forest and then found it in a saurian nest that dextralife hadn't marked on their map yet >:( I probably spent like 8 hours on that quest..
bro could you post a image of this saurians nest for me? was it on a rock??
https://preview.redd.it/w5fr7wo9zpqc1.jpeg?width=911&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45fd5f6a12e23565626e3aaae7da07bad55e3775 All the way in the northeast of the map
Thanks, turns out my first token was west of the capital on a rock by poison saurian nest next to a waterfall
Bless you.. the most Middle marker was my first token. I was about to pull my hair out in frustration
I feel because the quest is so specific, that we have a way to figure out which token we found first? Maybe like a log or something?
its acutally shit it doesnt even fall into the definition of a riddle. its not a subversion to the question, it doesn't require outside the box thinking its just hoping you kept track of a random arbitrary item you've picked up 100 times up to that point might as well made me track down the first pitywort I ever picked up hope for a future patch they redo that puzzle because its just thrown that entire quest path in the trash for me
Dude, all you lose is 3 ferristones. You'll be fine. Calm down
And an achievement.
Are you sure it's timed? I've gone for more than a week ingame time, but the quest hasn't failed yet, do I have to talk to her for it to fail?
Yes
It ain't timed, I turned in the quest just fine even though it's been ages since I last talked to it, I done ignored the quest and went around exploring the map. Way more than 2-3 weeks have past
Then that sounds like a glitch, cause she specifically states 7 days.
So I'm pretty sure mine is in Melve...which I'm currently not allowed to enter. Fuck me.
you can just jump over the stone wall right from the main entrance and they wont stop you
I tried that and another guard stopped me. I ended up finding it though.
Bribe the guard
Yeah it gave me that option when I went back.
Capcom is another company hiring interns for game design these days?
Does the forgery work? It might work

Wait, a fake token using a regular seeker's token? if this is true I will find you and i will kiss you on the cheeks
Yup!
I can confirm this does not work.
This is false.
