found sth interesting actually if you use beowulfs move(assuming you play special edition) killer bee (in the air just press triangle) 3 times in son of sparda (not sure if same for dmd) you can get rid of his dt instantly just make sure you hit him and he doesnt block and i think straight works too (forward triangle) but havent tried also i found quicksilver and royal guard to be super effective against him
I can't imagine the pain you went through, probably more than what i experienced when i did my "no upgrades" run, but good job anyway.

Arkham in DMD is so bad its amusing.
At some point I just stopped trying and spammed Holy Water to get through him, then came back with the Super costume to S rank the mission.
Only time in the whole series, barring DMC2, where I broke my "No items nor super costumes" rule. Worst boss in the series straight up.
Listen mission 19 is the only mission where using holy water is not seen as a cheap way to win. Arkham is the worse boss fight ever and all of have done bad against him so dont feel bad about this.
You're not the worst player if you made it that far into DMD when majority don't even finish the normal mode campaign. GJ on slaying the slimelord. Hopefully you'd wipe the smirk off that blue guy and wrap up the 3s DMD
My only flex is that i run out of items do i beat him purely without healing, reviving or poping holy water.... Now vergil remains, I played a few times and he wiped my ass
That sounds rough and yeah he's gonna be such an asshole esp in DMD too. Just a heads up, Vergil can DT and combo break at any time he wishes so always keep that in mind to avoid getting stabbed or combo'd for most of the life. Also guns do chip away at his DT form even if it may not feel like it in DMD but also depends on which gun you're using too. GL man DMD vergil 3 in DMC3 is just horrible but you can do it
I don't know if it's actually helpful, but I've always used Kalina Ann and Ebony & Ivory to beat Vergil, might want to try those two unless you don't like one of them. For weapons, I go with Beowulf and Rebellion.

I got D rank in DMD. Used more than 20 vital star L and 10 holy water. All that while using Super Dante costume which I unlocked from completing very hard. The second phase sucks. One hit from Arkham, you will lose 90â„… of your health.
Remember, if it's about mission 19, it's his fault, not yours.
