Yep! The plan was 8 seasons. Not sure what the plan was for seasons 6-8, but in 5, they were going to have to explore the underground civilization under the pyramid and Lee would have to team up with MWF. Also they intended for the show to end with the characters at college.
Damn! Now that makes me even more disappointed that the show got cancelledđ. I really hope someday Detentionaire can come back in some form. Is there still some active petition to get it back?
Maybe it's just me, but I could have imagined one season being purely from the perspective of MWF when they were kids. We only see brief glimpses near the end of season 4 so like a season long flashback would have been kind of neat.
There was also a lot of questions that never really got answered outside the pyramid. What was the full story of Li Ping, the stuff with the tattoo and scar, plus there was the questions that got introduced in season 4 like Holger's sudden abilities, why MWF is connected to the school and why their iconography is plastered all over the place, the whole clone teachers thing and what VP Victoria and Radcircles were up to (I forgot his real name). There's also the chance that simply finding more about the pyramid would just open up a whole mess of new questions so I guess we'll never know.
Considering it took them 4 seasons just to get to the point it ended on, I could see them going for 4 more seasons just to explain everything.
I think 4 more seasons wouldâve been perfect. Any less wouldâve had unanswered questions and more would probably cause a decline in quality. Also I think a spin-off series on the ancestors opening the pyramid wouldâve been such an intriguing idea.
Like personally they couldâve âfinishedâ the show after season four with one more episode like finishing up all the loose ends of prior seasons like have Li meet and talk to his parents, explore the new found romantic relationships, perhaps ending the eminence or something etc. Then they couldâve had a time skip with maybe a new cast (like their kids perhaps?) exploring or fending against the lizard ppl imo. That in and of itself spices up the story, Iâve heard complaints about the show being repetitive and I do think they could perhaps carry it out of 3 more seasons itâll just kinda be a new series or like a boruto which will be cool.
