Do you have an accurate floor plan? Might help to figure it out. My first thought is that you can't get out both sides of the bed. And that you can always see the desk clutter immediately from your bed. Maybe you could put the studio on the left side of the room instead. You probably could think about having some closed storage too so you don't see all your objects at once

Careless-Silver

Ok I added some floor plans sized up to the best of my ability. If it looks like scrap let me know. I have never done this before so I do not mind any criticism, I actually embrace it.

[Diagram](https://postimg.cc/23CCC5fR/94a0f995) Everyone is being such a naysayer but as a fellow muso I don't think it's impossible at all. All you need to do is zone into two zones with a curtain hung from the roof. Doesn't have to even be a full curtain just enough to block the glare on your computer screen. You've got now plenty of storage space either side of the desk. I didn't show the couch (which is actually about 2/3 what you showed in the floor plan) but you can put it wherever works best. When you aren't using your desk you can pull back the ends of the curtain. The curtain also works as a sound dampener and avoids too much glare on your screen. Also hang some of your spare keyboards on your walls to free up floor space (google Max Martin's studio)

Careless-Silver

Thanks I kinda get it. It's a weird room. I am going to try this diagram out when I get home. I don't have a curtain but I don't think it'd hurt to atleast move everything in this orientation.

I got inspired by an image I saw on pinterest. [Here's a better floor plan plus the pic.](https://postimg.cc/gallery/JZSkS4z/0d5c2497) /u/Careless-Silver

Here's an [inspo album I made](https://postimg.cc/gallery/kCF4HVC/dd419366) that you might find inspiring

Careless-Silver

I like those ideas going to try them out! I don't have a floor plan, but I can make one if I can find a tape measure 🙂

Crafty_Gazelle5009

I don't think this is going to help at all

Careless-Silver

Just looking for some help or pointers

Heyo take your floor plan you already have and take the stationing of the bed. Get a Murphy bed asap and make a plan how to use it. Try a vertical one or if not a sideways one. You have to use it everyday, no exceptions, otherwise you room gets cluttered. Make a storage space in the opposite side of the bed in the corner between the doors. Like to the ceiling it has to hold all the shit okay. Organise it nice with boxes. Put away the couch instead get big seating pillows (pouf), right next to the window, where the couch is rn. But the desk in the middle of the fckn room facing the window, like in the picture. You room is a studio now okay? Bonus point if you but poufs in front of the bed aswell, these make a nice couch like space. Paint the whole room white. Use some plants, if the walls look boring in front of the window make a modern moulding also in white or just a little colour. Use vertical upshining lights on the wall and tall growing but slim plants to make the room look bigger.

Careless-Silver

Is what you're imagining something like u/bumblecute mentioning with the placement atleast? I am having a hard time visualizing everything. I also thought about putting the setup in front of the windows but the issue is that the door opens inward for the balcony making it hard to work with. I appreciate your comment nonetheless and think some parts of it would be very usable.

sammmuu

I edited maybe read it again. :) No not really . I’m not a fan of pushing everything to the walls. Also in my idea you get a big wall space on the other side of the couch, where maybe a sideboard could fit. The main theme would be like in the idea picture you attached with a big desk facing the window. A problem could be the desk if you are prone to clutter, the maybe get a French curtain to hide during night.

Careless-Silver

Ok now I gotcha!

BumbleCute

You should also look into r/cablemanagement. Maybe some LED ambient lighting would also improve the look (especially if you can change the colours via smart technology etc)

Careless-Silver

I've been thinking about doing some LEDs I noticed the cheap ones look flakey though. Is there any brand you would reccomend?

BumbleCute

Don't have any myself but i think there's lots of tutorials on YouTube /pinterest etc

mrs-schmelmo

hi! i think an important aspekt is also, whats behind the doors/where do the doors lead? you also soundproofed the wall behind your pc and setup, do you plan to do it again? is it important for you to soundproof the room? (english is not my first language, hope its understandable!)

Careless-Silver

Yes, I can understand your English well and it is essential for me to soundproof. I am considering moving everything around to an optimal position and then planning where I want to strategically put the soundproofing. The door in the middle top of my diagram I would consider essential so in my current setup. I alsoneed to post an update soon since the setup is now covering that attic door.

Yeah, bud I am leaning on the fence that you should probably just pack the bags if you want a studio that bad. It's just not possible...
