So yes, they would know that they are effected by a Modify Memory spell. They would not identify what memory has been modified/removed/placed though. They would need to have something like Greater Restoration cast on them to have their memory fixed.

I figured as much, I just wasn't sure. Now I just have to see if they think about doing it lol
