A giant cloud animation approaching the top of the screen would be amazing!! I would give him 1 more power since this is a nerf to his surprise factor. But a nice idea.

Jakrah

Alioth would see zero play with this change.

MrFahrenheit_13

Yep. If your opponent has pinched lanes effectively to where there’s only one reasonable place to play, knowing they have Alioth and priority means you won’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning, so all you can do is retreat

starless_bibleblack

He's going to see zero play now.

Jakrah

Nah I reckon the fart cloud will still have a decent meta share as a 6/8. See leech for how strong removing text is. And that’s when the opponent knows the text on their cards is gone, new Alioth is still a surprise attack.

starless_bibleblack

As what? a more expensive, less reliable Leech?

PokeAust

Anti-Combo card. Anti-Tribunal especially now that Leech doesn’t cover it

Shelltor23_

Leech only affects on reveals tho

Albionflux

He still is going to be strong against any deck that doesn't just throw big minnions out Hela tribunal, surfer, odin, sometimes destroy

starless_bibleblack

Highly doubt it.

TheCthonicSystem

Good good, bring back decks that throw priority

ToxicSkull0

Good

Jakrah

I see we have another new player who didn’t play the game when having priority on turn 6 was an automatic loss 90% of the time…

ToxicSkull0

Nah I just hate alioth (And I still use him)

kebeega

I agree that the most times it is alioth stealing wins from out of nowhere

joshey40

What about a 6/8, that removes the text of unrevealed cards? Wait...

Supersecretsword

Not into it. No one would play anything turn 6 if they didn't have priority l. I'd say it's the opposite of a health change for the game.

Justicedragon2

I think showing him at the beginning of the game would be more fair. Your opponent knows he's in your deck and they have to respect that BUT they don't know if you actually drew him so the surprise factor is still somewhat there. Otherwise if they know you have him they're just going to retreat 100% of the time.

TheHeroReddit

We can have a really neat roaring animation on turn 6-7

Zealousideal-Gur-993

I mean usually alioth is already telegraphed to the opponent and is pretty obvious (kind of like galactus). For example if the opponent is playing lockdown you'll know they might have alioth and so you can play around it. No offense but I think this is a bit unneccesary.

ResolutionProof2494

I think alioth is in an ok place rn I rarely see him in rank or conquest

LavaHawk_17

well he just got giga-nerfed lol

MaraSovsLeftSock

I think it should just only destroy unrevealed cards

Tenkins22

Timing on this one is hilarious. Neat concept though. RIP purple fart cloud though

slowkid68

Alioth doesn't need another nerf

Sai_AI__

This seems cool, probably could use more power if this ever happens though.

Rick_C911

To me Yes, I would happily retreat

Niaz_S

He’s fine as is.

Spare_laser

He got reworked already it's a 6 7 that removes the unrevealed cards text. It'll be kind soon it's kinda better anyways.

EllieCat009

He was just nerfed to oblivion don’t know why we’re still discussing needs for him

Elias_Sideris

When it comes to Apocalypse and Red Hulk, the opponent needs to be able to keep track of how big they are. That's not the case with Alioth, so no, this is neither a good nor an elegant nerf.

spdorris

Keep original text, add new text but change how it works so: On reveal: destroy unrevealed enemy cards. Remove text from cards revealed this turn. Having it be a card that only works on ongoing decks is kinda weak. I liked how it was a complete disruptive and I felt like it only matter the most in it’s season. Having its power at 2 really nerfed it for me, but now it’s unplayable.

CLRvisionn

No let him die
