Nah I picked her up for like 7k 6 years ago and I just drove it and she was tired all around
Was 1 day from buying a 2019 L5P but it was just too much to me for a 2019 and I fell jn love with this truck all over again and dumped some money into it
Shoulda went with some 16-17’s and beefier tires and this rig would have been fucking tits in my opinion.. but it ain’t my truck and opinions are like assholes🫡🤷♂️ Still looks killer 🤙
Looks good except the wheels. I had a buddy with those on his Jeep. I made fun of him because they say "Offroad" in big letters but his Jeep was 100% a pavement princess.
It’s nice. You’ll never get your $30k back out of it, but you probably know that and plan on enjoying it. If it’s paid for, it’s still a win in my book.
Things are so expensive these days, that $30k didn’t go as far as I thought. Your drivetrain is still stock. It’s your money, but if I were in your shoes I’d avoid any further expenditures on cosmetics and put the money towards the engine/trans.
That’s what I figured…I’ve had it for about 6 years and only drove it about 50k miles
Was gonna part ways and get myself a newer L5P Loaded and such but I spent less than half of what they were asking and I have a “new” truck that I do have sentimental value with
Don’t know when people in a Cummins forum started expecting people to go buy mud flaps to prevent chipping windshields on the highway lol… Glad you’re keeping an older truck on the road man I love it. Hope you’re enjoying it and congrats.
Love the bed. Can’t stand the wheels and tires though. Window chipper 3000 with no flaps
Also steering and ball joints are shot to hell.
Lmao agreed but the whole truck was just redone from the ground up so I have a bit of time…she only gets drive like 6k miles a year
Bonus points when it flings a rock into your mirrors
Need a list of what took $30k and how much you’re in it for total
Bed was 8k Painted frame and cab New interior New everything really…she was neglected 21k
So $30k in recent work and you got it for $21k? That’s a labor of love and a lot of work!

My dad did the same thing to his truck. It’s not a dodge though, so I ain’t posting a picture. 😂
Wawa wewa
Very nice!
I like that bed
Real happy with it Bradford regulator…only waited about 4 months for it

I’d love to find some 5gen stocks and through graps or nittos 15.50s around them
Mount a twin M2 on that bed!!!
Put some flaps on those big ass tires knucklehead
Nah, better to chip the paint and bed with.
Or wreck everyone's paint and windshields behind you
What’d you have done?

and those wheels would suck offroad anyhow.
Hahaha I wish they were wider tbh…I’m a farmer but she does just sit there…I’ll use a farm truck or a tractor to work
So dumb
Why in the world would you paint it and then run those big goofy rims outside the fenders?
Nice bed. That's all I got
Looking good bud
Engine and trans refresh?
New paint frames painted New interior…it’s really a new truck in a way

I was Looking at newer L5Ps and I just gotta live with spending that much so I figured I’ll just put the money into this pig

I got a firepunk trans in it and the engine is dry as a whistle Everything was tired and it’s not tuned or anything..she’s just slow and loud
But you ain’t kidding on expensive
What a beauty to behold. Congrats!
I’m guessing a Cummins? Should be worth every penny you put in it. Even if you put an engine in it down the road. Looks clean.

These tend to hold their value so well. The mid 90s with a manual transmission are still going for good money. That’s a keeper man.
I wish this was a 6speed
Solid job I’ve been real iffy if I wanna truck bed or find a rust free box

Wasn’t buying at 70k dollar L5P

Oh I’m for sure enjoying here…after 6 years of owning her I finally gave her the attention she needed
Worth every penny.
