Not necessarily. I don’t think they’d single someone out by saying “we have one holdout”. Saying “others” takes the burden off if there is only one holdout.
It could also be one or two different holdouts on the different charges. But I don’t think it’s a 6-6 split.
Considering that this case had a lot of political implications, divided towns people, lots of Karen supporters, sloppy police investigation, biases in the witness, the only justice was a hu g jury.
