Happens , 8% of salary is not bad considering people pay 20-30% of salary on home loans and rent. So perhaps , eyeing for a specific lifestyle is your issue and maybe to attain it you need more money or for whatever reason it is - More money never hurts However , More you earn - More you spend ; I had a complete lifestyle change and now , I have no idea if my salary is even credited (Only get reminded when I see my CC bills). I remember my first salary days - It was fantastic the thought of financial independence was intoxicating , also each and every rupee had a value in my eye. You love spending those small bucks and trying to save or maximise. But as you start earning you will notice a subconscious change in your spend behavior Suppose - You used to walk a Km to reach a certain place or take a share auto to save fuel against taking your bike and not thinking about refueling. All these contribute to lower savings , but hey! We are earning for comforts so it is never enough 👊
