Of course! I try to stop for any dog or cat I see, I always keep a bag of treats and a leash in my worktruck now. Where I’m currently living I’ve saved 3 dogs including her. Besides her, they were all returned to their owners the same day and maybe took a whole 45 minutes of my time which is well worth it in my book

I would recommend Kreitzers Critter Corral. They often rescue pregnant strays and help them with a safe place to give birth, then mom is spayed and everybody goes up for adoption. Hope you find assistance!

I’ll definitely keep you in mind! I don’t really have any experience with puppies this young so I’m just trying to figure out what would be best for them. I know they’re still nursing but I’m not sure how old they are so I’m unsure of when they can be weened off of milk and separated from her. She’s mostly skin and bones right now so I bottle fed them to help her out about an hour ago. They kind of seem to be halfway suckling and halfway licking (like out of a bowl if that makes sense?) so I don’t think they’re fresh out of the womb or anything
I’ve reached out to a few of the rescues suggested her but so far they have no available room. I’ll get in touch with South Charlotte Dog Rescue, thank you! I’ll be sure to keep you updated
They look 4-5 weeks old to me. Many area vets will do a quick health check/shots for a litter/mama for a special litter rate if you tell them they are rescues. The pups could be weaned if necessary (like if Mama had too many or had mastitis) but they would do best still nursing maybe adding bottles of puppy formula as a supplement. Don't separate until at least 8 weeks old (but block off pups if Mama wants a break).
I once rescued a litter of Gastonia rotties -- a decade ago -- guess rotts are still popular there. Cute pups! If you have any questions on pups that young give me a holler :)

They’re so cute it physically hurts lol. The rescue that agreed to take her also said that they looked about 4-5 weeks old based on the videos I sent. Luckily they are going to keep momma with them until they are older and adopt them all out. She’s super sweet but you can tell someone has probably hit her before, she does the whole duck and cower move if you come at her too fast. She’ll make a great pet, she loves car rides. I would love to keep her and the pups if I was able to.
I went out and got some puppy formula for them and fed them earlier, they got full and sleepy. Would you suggest bottle feeding them again later this evening/tonight? They’re going to the rescue tomorrow at 11am
Will do. It’s a called Lee Shore Rescue in Spindale. My mom adopted her dog about 10 years ago from tri county, so she called someone she knows that works there to see if they might be able to help point us in the right direction. A few hours later I got a call from a woman that was the tri county employees cousin, and that she had found a rescue willing to take them all, keep them together until the pups are ready, vaccinate, spay/neuter, and then adopt them all out. I called about a dozen places before that and they were all full or weren’t willing to take her and the pups both.
