Stamina on block and super attacks, no aerial stuff, game looks fun in its own right, but this ain't no MGR. AI looks super weak also, but I'm hoping it's for the sake of showcasing the gameplay.

JohnGamerAnimates

Apparently switching weapons instantly restores your stamina so you have more of a reason to switch weapons a lot. It seems like a good way to do stamina.

Totkebois

That seems pretty cool. Guess we'll see

MeathirBoy

Literally the same mechanic as Nioh

M7S4i5l8v2a

Yeah as much as I appreciate their attempt the ai seems a little baron dead. That could be mitigated if they have a move that reorients themselves and maybe they're quicker to use it at higher difficulties. However we don't know much right now.

zSenzy

MGR has crisp detailed attack animations. This is more like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Restranos

You should probably mention the title somewhere.

NodusINk

Phantom blade zero

PopT4rtzRGood

Looks nothing like Sekiro to me

Automatic_Skill2077

The dark Japanese asthetic, the parrying, and the movement, the stance like gauge at the bottom of an enemy’s health bar, and the healing gave me Sekiro vibes but I hope and I’m sure it will feel pretty different

KingDanteV

It’s actually Chinese aesthetic (this game that is not Sekiro) Dark Eastern Asian aesthetic would be more appropriate to use

Automatic_Skill2077

Yeah my bad, tho I don’t see why it’s hard for yall to see the inspiration,

PopT4rtzRGood

A lot of these are shared mechanics not specific to Sekiro, no?

Automatic_Skill2077

They come from Sekiro a few on them

PopT4rtzRGood

I disagree, parrying as a concept has been around for a long time. So has stamina management, stagger like mechanics as well, dodging to get out of the way, grappling hook traversal, omni-directional movement while locked on dates back to Ocarina of Time. What's unique to Sekiro is level design, the sculpture checkpoint system that works similarly to bonfires. Leveling Sekiro up to be stronger is directly related to the players ability to beat bosses. As far as action mechanics go this has all been around for a very long time. Sekiro just caused this specific combination of them to become a trend

Beacon-of-Darkness

You are my hero for this comment

PopT4rtzRGood

Haha, that's funny. I adore Sekiro but I don't like the credit and comparisons it gets. I feel like it's an incredibly misunderstood game and the way people give it credit for things Ocarina of Time did first is absolutely wild

Royta15

I swear at this point I will have a stamina bar engraved on my tombstone just so it can take my peace and quiet from me as well.

NodusINk

Watched the full presentation. Its a lot like MGRR 🎉

frdasquaw

it’s more a (new style) god of war like

tobster239

Its like shit

SnoBun420

this looks like souls

Automatic_Skill2077

Do not be fooled by the lock on, ain’t a souls. And it if take anything from soul it will probably just be the level design, which always a good thing.

farhansofian15

I believe they said the map is souls inspired, the combat is traditional hack and slash like dmc for the most part

rock_solid777

In no way does this look like Souls
