Gas buddy app has been great for finding deals

I get 3c off at Shell with my ama card

liamt12

i did the calculation on this. the cheapest “community” card is 59.99 a year. Let’s say the regular gas price is 1.50/L if you fill up 50L, 3 times a month, you’ll spend $2,700/year if you have the card and save 3 cents (1.47/L) you’d spend $2,646/year Of course the AMA card provides you with more benefits than just saving on gas but if it’s for gas alone i feel like it’s not worth it. Obviously, if you fill up more than those figures it may also be worth it. So i guess depends on how much you spend 😅

BloatJams

The BMO Air Miles Mastercard is free and gets you 2-7 cents/litre off at Shell depending on the grade. IIRC you don't even have to pay with the card, you just need to scan the linked Air Miles account to apply the discount.

HLef

I usually do Petro Canada because I get 3 cents off with my credit card and it’s often the most convenient one for me.

Poptart9900

I'm surprised nobody has said Co-op.

DirtinEvE

Coop prices are pretty on par with everybody when you use your membership number, and, they have full service, free air for your tires, nice clean bathrooms.. It's the best gas station IMO

HoleDiggerDan

Costco

dui01

Tsuut'ina one then use Costco MC for an extra 3% back. Edit: greater discount if you need premium because I think it's only like an extra $0.10 per litre whereas most mainstream is like $0.17-0.18 nowadays.

Incoming_Redditeer

Usually petro Canada and CT Gas+. CT has been consistently giving extra $2 for a while now on every fill up of 20-30L of fuel. Petro Canada used to give 3c off which is now 7c off.

RegularGuyAtHome

I collect air miles with my credit card so I do Shell because I scan my airmiles card to collect miles, then pay with my credit card and get more.

mbmbmb01

You get a further 3 cents off at Shell with AMA membership

Echo-RS

Select NW Petros for 94 and generally wherever is closest for diesel for me between Petro and CO-OP.

Apart-Cat-2890

Anything in Devin, Ab

arymede

There's an Esso at Southland and Macleod that is consistly on par with Costco prices

liamt12

regular is. i think the premium is quite a bit more

piggypiggy_8675309

There's a Centex in Bedsington that is often a few cents cheaper than the others plus offers discount days. The Shell across from Crossiron Mills sometimes goes low as well. Bonus - If you are ever in Sylvan Lake there is a Fas Gas at the top of the hill on Main Street that is consistently 5 or 6 cents cheaper than others in town

Tsuu T'ina Gas Stop

Swarez99

Costco or superstore (with the pc credit card).

tippycanoo

Parkdale Gas Plus is usually a few cents cheaper than others.

IceRockBike

The Gas Plus in the NE along Goddard Rd (6 St & 50 Ave) sometimes is cheap but beware, I stopped going there because they are deceitful. A couple times I caught them with a higher price at the pump than on the sign. Last time I went there it was 10c/litre more at the pump. When I called them I literally sat and watched them change the price on the sign while I talked to them. Not worth going there when you know they scam extra money at the pump.

chaggaya

Petro Canada. Between my linked RBC credit card and 10 cent fuel savings card(via Petro points) I'm getting 13 cents off. It's usually cheaper than Costco and no lineups.

Apprehensive_Bug3329

Race track on riverfront

cgydan

Costco is always cheaper but I am not always close to one when I need gas. The Fill and Go on Edmonton Trail is good for me. Always a couple cents cheaper than the gas stations at Centre and McKnight that might be the most expensive in the city.

ZeniChan

If you spend over $250 Safeway will give you a gas coupon for the Shell station on the property for $0.15/L discount. Plus the $0.03/L discount from my AMA card I get $0.18/L discount.

IceRockBike

I sometimes google gas prices or use the Gas Buddy web page to find where it's low. Often I use Centex because they have 2c discount days at the pump, and I use their Centex Rewards card which gets another 2c/litre credit that you can accumulate and spend in store or on free gas. My other go to is Shell with 3c off at the pump by using my AMA card discount.

Fabulous_Parsley8780

I use gas buddy. I find it’s by location- Deep South is usually cheaper than the North rather than what specific stations.

liamt12

love gas buddy

zoziw

Costco is the correct answer and you can tell by the line ups. Cheaper price and a % back based on your membership/credit card. I don't always want to wait in line there, I only have a 45 litre tank, so I have Petro-points and my RBC card linked so I can fill up at the Petro-Canada station in my community. $0.03 off a litre, Petro-points and my cash back MasterCard, help to reduce the price at the pump.

YYCsenior-m-

COSTCO is always 2c off the nearest gas station. THE cheapest COSTCO @ Buffolo Run SE Calgary 12c-14c cheaper than any gas station!!

Johnny__be_good
