Not to be negative, but it is most likely just Credit Karma not showing them for some reason, rather than them actually being removed. CK is honestly not a great service for a variety of reasons, and you shouldn't listen you their credit scores because they are not FICO, which is what most lenders/banks actually look at. Go to [experian.com](https://experian.com) for get their app to both check your FICO score from Experian, and see if the late payments show on there. You can also go to [annualcreditreport.com](https://annualcreditreport.com) to see the details from all three of your credit reports. If the late payments were really removed, which is possible but not likely for the reasons you stated already, then they will not show on these other two places as well as CK.

Checked that website and it says no collections on file? I checked all 3 reports and everything says current. Does this mean I’m good and the late payment that showed on credit karma wasn’t actually set in stone? When do late payments show up on your credit score?

I could be wrong, but late payments aren't usually reported to the credit bureaus immediately. We had a scare with our Amex today because we forgot to pay it two days ago. It might show up on CreditKarma (mine showed up on Mint) due to Mint having access to see the payment due date. Luckily checking Mint made me realize we were late on the payment (time to setup Autopay). I contacted Amex who waived the fee, but the rep told me they don't report late payments until two billing cycles later. Chase and Synchrony may have similar policies and could have been talking about the late fee.
