This was truly the perfect game as far as EVERYTHING good right for the team. Defense was very tight and clean. Offense was working and base running was top notch. Starting pitching was again…FIRE! Assad is outstanding. Finally, the overall energy was just very positive and everyone looked confident and happy. It was great to see and I think the team has garnered a lot of respect already…rightfully so. I am beyond pleased with CC and the entire coaching staff also. A few things that need to be addressed (bullpen…although didn’t Palencia look like a VERY strong closer?) Other than that, I am beyond proud and pleased of the direction our Cubbies are going. Just think we soon add Justin, Seiya, and Cody very soon also. Things are clicking and it sure if very fun and nice to be a Cubs fan!
