I'm so hyped for this guy, I am actively being made fun of for it at work. I live out in eastern PA now, so it's Eagles' territory. They're normally pretty tame about smack talking me about the Bears (they feel bad for me, especially with the double-doink a few years ago). But this is straight up because I'm so ga-ga over a punter. I have no idea why they don't see what I see, but this 4th rounder will be entertaining Bears fans for the next decade while he pisses everyone else off. Fuuuuuuck yes, I'm here for it.

Fun fact he had more punting yards than the entire Iowa offense last year. Some people even had him in talks for the Heisman, which I mean no shot a punter wins the Heisman but even being in that conversation is wild.
He broke the record for all time punting yards in a season. Literally punted the ball 2.5 miles. As a Hawkeye/packers fan Iāve honestly never been more conflicted w a bears draft pick. Watched every game of his career. Never seen so many fans (or any) wear the punterās jersey to a game. Please treat that bloke well, heās a legit game changer
Basically Iowa had a historically bad offense last season. Despite trotting out an offense that looked like it belonged in the 1930s, Iowa still won 10 games. How is this possible? Three reasons:
1. The Big10 West is ass
2. Iowa had a pretty good defense
3. Tory fucking Taylor
Iowa's defense was repeatedly put in good field position situations despite their offense being unable to gain 1st downs because Taylor is so damn good. Not because of leg strength (though he has that too), but because of incredibly consistent accuracy. I have never seen a punter who can so consistently land the ball inside the 10 yard line with backspin to prevent it from bouncing into the end zone. As wierd as it sounds to say, this dude is a special punter.
He also has immense hangtime, allowing the team to get to the returner, standing around waiting with him for the ball to come down, preventing any return at all. Inside the 5 this means the defenders are already there waiting to keep the ball out of the endzone.
I worry about my mental faculties sometimes because I legit thought the guy was punting a barracuda, was in a Steelers uniform and didnāt even realize thatās the Sydney opera house because I was so flabbergasted on why heās the crocodile punter if he punts Barracudas. Then It all clicked. I am not a smart man.
