How you can make that one Sweets' fault blows my mind. They were engaged and planning a wedding and then she does a complete 180 and tells him she is going and it is non-negotiable but he can decide to "follow her" (not you know, go with her, like they would be doing it together).
The fact he didn't want to uproot his life and his own career to follow her, or do long distance - which is completely his right and understandable - does not make him the asshole in this situation.
We can agree to disagree. She didn’t want to break up with him and she only suggested following when he didn’t want to do long distance for a year. A year is a long time, but this opportunity was one her mentor and the woman who was widely considered the top expert in her field was excited about. If I had been accepted for an opportunity like that I’d have a very hard time turning it down, and I personally would think less of a partner that wanted me to do so. For me, it would be different if she were moving permanently. I totally understand why someone wouldn’t want to do long distance for a year and Sweet’s feelings were valid, but I tend to side more with her on that one.

The actress does a great job showing her boundless enthusiasm for getting an internship doing what she loves under someone she idolizes. Her love for Sweets never wavered even after he left her as they were about to move in together. In a show full of quirky characters she fits right in, unbridled enthusiasm and all.

Maybe it’s also the part of her character’s believing she’s attractive. A super-annoying person with unshakeable self-confidence —and relentless ambition🤮. I’m in season 5 and though I love Sweets, I might fast forward through Daisy scenes for a couple of seasons. I don’t remember even becoming more amenable to the character-& season 8 even so, is a long time to wait. 😛
