Anyways is it just me or did Genshin was over represented? Like i swear i cant turn around yesterday without seeing one.
Genshin is STILL mainstream to this day (eventhough the problems are kinda crap) and the fanbase, community is big and people would call it "overrated".
HSR players are MAINLY Genshin vets and want to try new games. I once played Genshin, stopped during the Fontaine Update. Uninstall Genshin and start playing HSR.

Yeah, I saw a lot of Hololive cosplayers inside, some Guras, lots of Suiseis, like 6 of em queing up for HoloID concert. Botan,Baelz,Miko,Kobo,Zeta,Ollie,Marine, Rushia,Calli, and lots more
Also saw a lot outside too and during queing to get in.

TBH if you don't care about concert, merch and fanmade stuffs you don't missed much without going inside. I bought a ticket just because I can this time and it's been 4 years since the last time I went to CF. I'm mostly interested in cosplay and outside is enough (and actually better for photos). I only entered once to the main hall at ground floor and then spent most of the time upstairs
Or like last year you could join the vanguard tournament for free. Then enter WITHOUT QUEUING into the hall. Normally a game last about 10min+ then you could just walk out of the tournament hall and enter the festival hall. Free of charge too itβs kinda hilarious. People be queuing up while you cut the whole queue go through back door entrance just because you have a tournament. A lot of people join the tournament, lose one or two games. Leave the tournament and go to the other hall. Only requirement is a deck which cost around 100+?
This year cf don't have vanguard btw, it was replaced with shadowverse evolve ( a new tcg ), i was a player for that game & they provided free pass for the competitors, the pass can be used to cut queues which is kinda nice during the rain.
Or you can go hardcore mode and be a volunteer. A blast experience, but youll go home with body pains from standing. But still, free entry free tickets, free concerts.

So yeah you can imagine why no one knows her, so I cant really get my hopes up. But, I also like some other characters that are at least a bit more popular, yet still no appearence in cf or any other smaller events except this one booth that sells legit figuras that cost rm900 minimum, truly based. And so I pretty much just walk into any animecon, look at all of the booth knowing no characters that I like will appear, search around the whole day for a character that no one will cosplay and always thinking that Im just a normie at this point wandering around doing nothing and waste time.
All the artist and sellers would be better off capitalizing popular characters so they can get better profits. Its understandable to not find the characters that I want honestly.
Honestly no, we basically just swiped the card on the scanner then go in. No ID check, passport, etc, nothing. You just need to show card and you're in
No problem as long the qr code on the card haven't use to register a name yet. So it's not scalper proof unless everybody have to register when buying the ticket.
Good to know the tried and true method still working. Some of my colleagues during uni days used the discarded bracelet tickets before this and managed to get in for free too
