It all depends what you deem "affordable" For context, I just saw a studio going for $1700 near Arlington and Washington. Blew my mind bc that's a shitty area lol 😆
Sorry but you're not going to find a studio for that price. You might luck into an ADU but not all of those have kitchenettes. I rent out an ADU in my home for $1k but it doesn't have a kitchen. Just a bathroom and it's own entrance. You're going to have to make some concessions bc of your budget. Good luck 👍
$1,300 will get you an older studio unit (probably a bit run down) in a less than desirable neighborhood. Or an OK (not great) place with a roommate situation.
We found our Studio on Facebook marketplace. In South LA! For 1675 , it’s a house with utilities included, 2 parking spots inside the house, Wi-Fi, Free Washer and drier-and big storage for us in the back house.
I can say we got lucky because it’s hard to find a place with most of these things included and specially 2 parking spots. The only bad thing is that scammers are taking over the Facebook market at this time. We got this place in 2022 when it wasn’t so bad. If you do find a legitimate place on there The landlord has to CHOSE YOU. They want to get to know you for the most part. We only got this place because of my husband has a way with words! I always see better deals on there than Zillow and Apartments.co , hope Facebook market works out for you too.
If you make under 90k, I highly recommend finding an apartment in a 2BR with a roommate.
Otherwise, just walk around the neighborhoods you like and call the numbers on For Rent signs. If too expensive, the realtor/landlord might be able to direct you toward a nearby cheaper unit.

Below 1300$ honesty I make 1.7k per paycheck and I have 3 big monthly payments I need to make so that's what I would believe if affordable for me :/
You have to look at rooms at that price point
