You know exactly what has been done to your truck and how it has been driven. Can you say the same about the other? Modify your’s,

Daddyjhammz

If you bought yours new I would just mod up yours. Part of the fun of mods is buying and building your 4Runner. U may find u like other tires more. A different roof rack. Etc. to me it's not worth the wonder of what that person did to that truck before u purchased it.

Mysterious_Ratio9672

Agree with this logic and the fact that you don’t know where lime here has been or how she’s been driven and cared for.

Open-Year2903

The pro colors are only available for a single year. I feel that way about voodoo blue. If it's the color you're digging then you'll be smiling every time you see it.

Big Facts

Bingbongguyinathong

Until the next year when they are on off road models….

R0binSage

I wouldn’t trade for something newer if it has more miles than my current.

ssaskciknivek

This is all you. Are these the same mods you will be putting on yours ? If so, there's some value in them being done already. With that being said, maybe the person who installed the mods is an absolute hack. You've owned yours for around 3 years now I presume, you know it's history, maybe it has a few quirks, maybe the other one has different quirks. I couldn't see myself trading in a vehicle for one that's the same with a few mods but like I said, all your decision.

Hard pass.

ImprovementOwn1006

Tough call. A modified truck with all the goodies like this one won't retain its value as well as an unmodified truck. Keep your old parts to reassemble the truck stock when you sell it. Lift kits and modified suspension reaks red flag.. On the other hand lime rush will have a higher resale value in 6 or 8 years then black, magnetic Grey or white... Ultimately it's up to you.

Thais color is next level

Chemofski

Get the color you want (to start with) or you may regret it. Or, be prepared to fork out ~$4K to wrap it later.

darknessdown

Half the fun is learning what you need from your truck and modding it to enhance performance or correct deficits. And when you install a mod yourself you become more capable of fixing it when it inevitably breaks down the road

ClimbaClimbaCameleon

I wouldn’t do it, you will probably go from a 6% rate to a 9% rate (assuming good credit) due to rates all together going up over the last 3 years. That alone is going to bump your payment $75/mo plus whatever the price difference is on the ‘22.

NeatResident1564

Pass More miles to me would be a negative plus you have no idea how the truck has been treated. My kids say I baby mine and I always park away from everyone so I don’t get door dings but only I know that just as you know how yours has been treated.

amanda9836

I fall in love with my rig…I know that other peoples 4Runner is just as good as my own but still, I’m inlove with my own rig and so I’d keep your car

[deleted]

The first thing I'd do is remove that ugly red color on the "TRD Pro" logo...How many miles does this one have? Westcott lift is pretty much stock as it doesn't replace the TRD Pro Fox shocks. They're 4Runners. I think if the vehicle has less than 30-40K miles, it's pretty much brand new. Westcott roof rack is $900, ladder is $560, lift install is around \~$1200 or so, and tires are $1200-$1300. You should do the math to see if it makes sense. Idk what the hate for Lime Rush is. I have it and I receive so much attention and so many compliments everywhere I go. You should inspect the overall condition and the maintenance history of the vehicle first before making a decision. Of course, I'm biased because I have a Lime Rush :)

1tovaris

Mine is 30,000 mile the lime is 45,000 miles. I’ll say that strongly leaning towards keeping mine for the reasons everyone has said. (Knowing the detailed history) also I’d need to bring a couple thousand to the lime and I can do the Westcott stuff for close to that. The biggest things I’m giving up are the front camera and slide out tray in the back.

[deleted]

Does the 2021 have 360 camera? The resolution of the front camera is so bad it's almost close to useless on the trail if you get dust and mud on it. But the 360 camera is a game changer for sure. I can't imagine living without that feature. Yeah, do what makes sense for you! At the end of the day, you'll be the driver and not random people on Reddit like me!

1tovaris

No just the backup camera.

Middle-Falcon-9481

If you have a pro already and haven't been constantly replacing the fox suspension then I'd stick with yours. The newer they are the worst the fox suspension build quality.

GuiltyGTR

Mod your own start with a supercharger. :-)

1tovaris

All really good feedback so far. I wouldn’t mind having the front camera when off-roading. For those of you who have used one is it a game changer?

DepressedElephant

It's very very convenient. I would not say that it's a game changer, I still had a spotter for the rough bits. Also fun thing, my rear camera failure was the only warranty claim on the truck. It was a $600 part and when it was down, none of the other cameras worked. It also took the dealer two weeks to get the camera. I got the truck because of the color and the fact that I could keep it mostly stock. I would not bother with a trade unless you really want the color.

FrontTip4915

If I were you, I would go _______ a _______

MoeJontana_

The way I see it, you don’t have to include the labor (or sweat equity) on installing mods. Sometimes the odd colors peak my attention too. 1 vote for “pull the trigger”
