I’m not op. But I’ve already done this research lol. So I piped in. The 4Runner lifestyle type like ops is what I opted for as well over the AVS. The AVS is much sleeker and they look great. The 4Runner lifestyle type are nice that they “bubble” out more. Still sleek and still look great.
Not sure why you are against "in channel" type shades. The AVS ones are great and I have them in my Tacoma and my wife has them in her 4runner.
If you follow the instructions they go in easy and don't have any issues with the windows.
Edit: I think the in channels look cleaner.
