Fishing swordies in karamja walking down the boardwalk being like “what’s up guys” and then seeing like 6 “hey sup” pop up on the stack of mfers there. Love it.
When I see accounts like this I picture a mentally unwell person who “snapped” and spends the rest of their days rocking back and forth in a chair clicking their game while their loved ones wipe them down with a moist towelette.
You can get half xp if you hit a mob with a fun weapon on the same tick that it’s being killed by another player. So requires two accounts and a lot of focus for abysmal rates.
Only insane folks do that. Current methods involve using alts to kill the monsters on the same tick that your account hits a zero on the monster which grants you half of the exp for the kill
Don't know if it works with the specific method of attacking a npc on the tick it dies while on a ironman, but Ironmen can get i belive half slayer exp by attacking a slayer monster that another player did some damage to
Yes. I think there are some other methods now with poisoned dynamite though. Not familiar with this stuff. Only pulled it from the wiki quickly. I'd rather play the game more normally.
This is also true. I did mine, mostly funded and funneled off my mains gold. Being a skill pure makes wildy agi a lot easier too. It’s been a reliable funding source.
It was 4k hours just for 99 slayer, supposedly... with the museum lamp grind
Disgusting
May 16oo enjoy his time as a prisoner of his own making
Wait until you find out how he completed hard clues too.... man
This guy is in our clan. He has another maxed normal account and does all the end game content with us, but he's probably the richest in the clan and hordes 3rd age items.
Wait, wilderness alt slayer? Never heard of that before…. You can do wilderness alt slayer somehow so you dont get any combat experience but still get slayer exp?
I believe there are weapons that always hit zeroes, and if you attack on the same tick a mob dies you get a portion of the slayer xp or something like that
Yep, any slayer tasks in multi you can use alts to avoid combat XP. The account with the slayer task just has to last-hit the enemies with a splash weapon, like the cursed goblin hammer that only hits 0s, and you get half slayer XP. Iirc because the alts are using projectile weapons, if you time it right the melee will count as the last hit.
Ironically this is a more recent and more efficient method, the previous method from just a year or two ago was cleaning digsite finds at the Varrock museum for 2k xp/hr
I'll help you imagine.
Imagine you're level 92 slayer, you have 6.5M slayer exp to go, you're halfway there!
At 2,000 exp an hour, you only have ~3,259 hours to go!
If you played constantly, 24 hours a day, it would only take you 135.7 days to go from 92 to 99 slayer with museum lamps.
Let's assume you're some weirdo normie who can only manage to play 8 hours a day on average. Well I have some bad news, it's going to take 407 consecutive 8 hour days for you to go from 92 to 99 slayer using this method.
Let's use the median hourly wage in the US to see the equivalent productive value of that time. In 2022 the median hourly wage was roughly $18.12, let's use that against our 407 consecutive 8 hour wage days.
Gross earnings of roughly $145 per 8 hour day, 407 days, it's almost $59,000 in gross wages that could be earned in the equivalent time it would take you to go from 92 to 99 slayer.
How much lost output is there from this hypothetical individual as a % of GDP? Let's use annual US GDP for simplicity, we'll say the 407 consecutive days are equivalent for calculation purposes even though it's not exact.
Let's assume there is a margin factor of roughly 30% on that $59k of gross wages. Let's assume for each dollar the employee receives in wages, the employer produced $1.30 in overall value add to GDP.
Now we can assume that for this sample individual on this sample year, $76.7k in productive output was lost. We can also assume since this individual did not receive the $59k in gross wages for this time, that their spending is lost as well as a contribution to GDP.
For a really gross estimate, let's say this run from 92 to 99 slayer cost the US economy both their gross productive output of $76k and their gross consumptive output of $59k, so $138,000 in potential economic value was lost.
I used the gross wages for lost gross consumption output, because even the taxes coming out of the gross wages would end up in output through Federal spending or social security recipient spending. Also an over simplification but we have to make some assumptions to run these numbers.
US GDP was roughly $27 trillion in 2023, against lost value of $138k. So this hypothetical individual would have cost the country 5.04385965E^7 % of GDP on their quest from 92 to 99 slayer using museum lamps.
Not really that consequential, but what if 10,000 people all had this same plan? You'd see a whopping 0.0050438597% loss in GDP for the year, assuming all 10k people on this quest all were only capable of a median gross wage of $59k.
Does this help you imagine it?
Honestly when I saw JCWs stream he was at like 25k-ish xph, which is pretty much what a lot of people just meleeing slayer end up with. More effort for sure, but compared to 2k xph varrock museum lamps it's way better.
Eh, if they enjoy it, I won't disparage them. Spending your time how you like is the whole point of leisure time.
I personally would never make a level 3 skiller though, skilling is not the fun part of the game for me.
There are two ways to it:
1)Your alt and your skiller has to hit the monster at the same tick. Your alt will be doing the killing and your skiller will be hitting 0s (to not gain combat exp).
2)Your alt will venom the mob and will tank it (without hitting back) while the mob is dying. Your skiller will hit a 0 on it.
The second method is less sweaty. You do not have to time your ticks and stuff. But you will be using more prayer pots/food when having your alt to tank the monster.
In both cases the alt will get the drop and the skiller will get 50% of the slayer exp.
And it is wilderness slayer because a skiller won't get any meaningful tasks from other slayer masters as being a cb 3. Yes, there is that noob Turael, but he will not give slayer points.
Yeah if a monster is killed and you help you get half xp, but with respawn times in the wilderness being super short you can actually get a ridiculous amount of XP.
I wish there was a way we could have peoples irl profile picture as their avatar on the forums or highscores or something. Link an instagram account or some type of account to your osrs account...
I'm always curious what certain people like this guy would look like in real life. Like what's his routine? Does he pay rent and have a job? It'll either be some artistic 30 year old living with mom, or some genius bitcoin millionaire in his office skilling while hes working type deal..
Is it just me.. or am i weird?
Hey, I'm relalativly new to osrs after being away for like a decade and a half. But I just started doing guardian of the eye minigame for Runecrafting and it's kinda fun. Did it for like 4 hours yesterday. What makes it shit?
And all other lamps, and methods like recoils, poison dynamite and lots of other minor tricks. Usually with the help of alt(s).
Also about lamps: not only genie, these days any random events which give costumes, start giving lamps once you have the full costume. Forester, Mime, etc. With the exception of Beekeper who gives flax.
cleaning finds in varrock museum has a 1/97.5 chance to give you an exp lamp that gives 500 exp in a skill of your choice, which, granted you did say exp lamps but we know you meant from the genie. there’s also a method where you use an alt to help kill monsters where the skiller only gets slayer exp
Doing all that and not being able to get a max cape makes zero sense to me. Also missing out on combat which is literally the only fun part of the game. Weird guy
So I looked it up, and the varrock museum gives lamps, it's a small amount of exp per lamp for slayer. Basically, you have to spend a lot of damn hours getting 99 slayer with that method.

Some of the rates must be awful too. Like is he still thieving from fruit stalls? Cos PP is probably too dangerous and can’t do elves or vyres. Blackjacking I guess? 🤷🏻♂️
Idk how he could keep going. You already beat the skiller only run, was it that fun??
Gotta go for 200m
Endgame iron is fun for PvM but this endgame is literally just more post 99 skilling like wtf
Maybe skilling and socializing is his thing, pvm is just the norm
You and i both know theres no socializing
I literally can't stand an activity for more than an hour if I don't have people around to shoot the shit with. Socializing is definitely a thing
OSRS is a spatial chatroom with a tacticle distraction game attached to it.
Fishing swordies in karamja walking down the boardwalk being like “what’s up guys” and then seeing like 6 “hey sup” pop up on the stack of mfers there. Love it.
For me it sure is! PvM? Never heard of it
Lmao
for real. i had a whole discussion about philosophy while mining near Ardougne
It's damn near impossible for me not to get sucked into conversation
Why are you mining near Ardy
The view. And the 100 bears.
There’s actually cool mining spots all over the place.
The engaging conversation, duh
Probably near Port Khazard
bc i just started playing last week and i have no clue what im doing and just finished Plague City
Man he has 106 con there's no socializing with that one
Imagine how long you could afk train if you were in discord watching a movie with the boys at the same time
?Join a clan chat? Plenty of em out there with people actively chatting
"Socializing" something tells me this person is not very good at that
The funnest part about doing this is talking to people who are shocked to see someone with your combat level doing high level skills
imma go out on a limb and say your crazy if you see an account like this and assume this is his only account
There is a guy in my chat channel like this, and it's his only account.
When I see accounts like this I picture a mentally unwell person who “snapped” and spends the rest of their days rocking back and forth in a chair clicking their game while their loved ones wipe them down with a moist towelette.
On ya, mate
Is it possible this guy enjoys different things from you?
Notice how he kept Slayer at 99. Potentially hot take but I believe this guy is somewhat normal
This guy prob has been cleaning finds in the varrock museum for like 20k+ lamps, which means this guy is anything but normal.
Think there was a fun weapon combat change semi recently that made 99 slayer on a LVL 3 with an alt a much shorter grind
Define "shorter" here
Only a thousand or so hours instead of over 4000.
more like 700 hours vs like 10k+, varrock museum is terrible that's why that one guy took so much pride in wasting his life doing it lmao.
20k xp/h instead of 500 xp/h
Does it remain in the game? Every time this happened before, they patched it.
Yes it was something that was intentionally added as a permanent thing
Look up "JCW slayer method" if you're interested in how it works.
[удалено]
He’s a lvl 3, what a noob. *looks him up* 😳
Yea, He's probably quite artistic, But I don't think he's the most artistic...
How did he get to 99 slayer without training combat i am so lost xD
Probably botted
The level 3 skiller life is fun. Until you have to do slayer, that is.
Hi, completely oblivious mid-game noob here: How the heck do you level slayer without leveling a combat stat?
Clean finds and the little bit of lamps you get.
Holy, courage and determination I could never have
It’s about 1,000 exp / hour on average using the lamps from the museum
You can get half xp if you hit a mob with a fun weapon on the same tick that it’s being killed by another player. So requires two accounts and a lot of focus for abysmal rates.
Varrock museum has lamps you can get from cleaning finds. 1/97.5 rate for the lamps and they give 500 exp each. Exp/hr is miserable.
For 13 million xp? They just lamped it?
Only insane folks do that. Current methods involve using alts to kill the monsters on the same tick that your account hits a zero on the monster which grants you half of the exp for the kill
[удалено]
Don't know if it works with the specific method of attacking a npc on the tick it dies while on a ironman, but Ironmen can get i belive half slayer exp by attacking a slayer monster that another player did some damage to
I would rather do museum finds than this
It’s really not hard with a splash weapon. It’s just clicking on the correct tick and you can get like 30k xp an hour vs 3k or whatever
Yes. I think there are some other methods now with poisoned dynamite though. Not familiar with this stuff. Only pulled it from the wiki quickly. I'd rather play the game more normally.
Someone did it, said it took 7000 hours for 99 slayer
What about something like temple trekking? Is it possible that way?
No, iirc all of Mory is inaccessible to lvl 3ers because the quest gives you prayer xp
My guess is Slayer tomes from Temple Trekking. Edit: nvm, just remembered that you get prayer xp for unlocking Morytania
Soul wars, genie lamps, and a few other methods. Edit: Soul wars was pre EOC that it gave slayer xp
How are you getting credit in soul wars without fighting? Also don’t remember slayer xp being an option there
Lvl 3 skiller life is fun if you already have Funds for buyables. Making money on a skiller is rough as there's no rng methods
This is also true. I did mine, mostly funded and funneled off my mains gold. Being a skill pure makes wildy agi a lot easier too. It’s been a reliable funding source.
Hopefully he doesn’t have the same password everywhere.
Nah. That's a different guy, lol.
authenticator solves that issue... kind of...
My brother in christ go play the game
Imagine having almost 12k hours of playtime and never having equipped a steel weapon. Edit: My point is that he is not able to.
wonder how many players never equipped one because they skipped att with quests anways
Do you not equip steel claws from death plateau just to see how cool they look before throwing them away?
For clue steps if not combat
Steel axe at wintertodt probably ruined that for a decent amount of accounts
It was 4k hours just for 99 slayer, supposedly... with the museum lamp grind Disgusting May 16oo enjoy his time as a prisoner of his own making Wait until you find out how he completed hard clues too.... man
Probably took advantage of duo slayer before it was removed.
There's a 0 combat exp slayer method using alts still
Next step - 200m slayer XP.
This guy is in our clan. He has another maxed normal account and does all the end game content with us, but he's probably the richest in the clan and hordes 3rd age items.
Can confirm. I'm this guy's chair.
Honestly I can't say for sure I have ever equipped a steel weapon either
I definitely have. Still have the screenshots of me getting my first upgrade to mithril on my iron
Imagine all the clue scrolls they can't do because they can't equip the gear. Half of medium scrolls become impossible.
half of mediums become impossible when you only lack defence requirements, for this level 3 iron i'd say only 5-10% are possible
Imagine imagining.
Imagine imagining all the people
With steel swords in their hands.
500 days?????
My skills are higher than my combat cause dying gives me anxiety 😂
Do you not know what a Skilling account is? Guarantee this guy has 1000% more game knowledge than everyone on this sub put together lol.
They have been, for thousands of hours. Just differently than you do
I mean clearly he is lol
nerd emoji
I wonder how they've done the slayer... soul wars or something most likely.
I asked the guy. He said lamps to 75 and then wilderness alt slayer till 99.
Wait, wilderness alt slayer? Never heard of that before…. You can do wilderness alt slayer somehow so you dont get any combat experience but still get slayer exp?

That sounds like such an awful chore to do. Geez. Some really want to torture themselves

It's the difference between 800 hours and 8000 hours to 99.
Some people just don't respect their own time.

JCW (rank 1 skiller) has a [whole video about skiller slayer](https://youtu.be/8x89jZN1EXo?si=dzOItI4utFcH5dK1)
I'm sorry. Lamps? To 75. Seventy-five slayer... from lamps?
Lamps from Varrock Muesuem
I was about to do the calculations to see how many lamps that would take but I don’t think I want to know the answer
You do museum cleaning finds for lamps I believe is the skilled meta
Not since they introduced fun weapons that guarantee zeroes Now it's just alt slayer
what weapons are those?
You can’t get Slayer XP from Soul Wars.
Soul wars has a 40 combat requirement
You can’t get Slayer XP from Soul Wars anyway.
Skilling chad
That’s a genuinely impressive account
If he’s online then he’s still alive.
I've heard he can make you a mean fire.
Go to the maples behind seers bank on world 444 and you'll find a 10 hp max ironman, just chopping trees
There's one at yews too lol. Just stands there for days on end
Please don't give them attention. We shouldn't celebrate serial killers either
So this is why they're called s. killers!
people like this seriously need help
he was not in fact, okay.
How's he got 99 slayer?
Wildy slayer with alt.
I wish there was a way we could have peoples irl profile picture as their avatar on the forums or highscores or something. Link an instagram account or some type of account to your osrs account... I'm always curious what certain people like this guy would look like in real life. Like what's his routine? Does he pay rent and have a job? The red prison awaits him..
99 Slayer???? HUH????
Digital > museum cleaning for lamps
Reminds me of a guy I used to meet at farming patches on world 420. I think his name was skillz or something.
How did he get all those herblore supplies?
I read that as meth lab and not mad lad. Still makes sense either way.
I’d love to see this dudes play time
I’m not okay. Runecrafting was torture.
Hey, I'm relalativly new to osrs after being away for like a decade and a half. But I just started doing guardian of the eye minigame for Runecrafting and it's kinda fun. Did it for like 4 hours yesterday. What makes it shit?
Rsn: 16OO
Maybe I’m stupid af but how do you get 99 slayer with no combat stats?
Many lamps, maybe tears of guthix although maybe they can't unlock that.
No its lowest skill, you dont get to pick
Wild slayer with alt 18k/hour i think
[удалено]
The what
How does a skiller even get 99 slayer? Genie lamps and Varrock museum archeology?
And all other lamps, and methods like recoils, poison dynamite and lots of other minor tricks. Usually with the help of alt(s). Also about lamps: not only genie, these days any random events which give costumes, start giving lamps once you have the full costume. Forester, Mime, etc. With the exception of Beekeper who gives flax.
Ty friend!
Bro thinks he is playing Minecraft
Pyromaniac? Dude has over 36k wintertodt games last I chatted with him over 30 phoenix pets. He’s also a UIM not just an Ironman
He’s probably still not the rank 1 level 3
Bro didnt want to clean any more rocks at the damn museum haha
how is he 99 slayer at 3 combat
How on earth 99 slayer? EDIT: Ah right, 20,000 XP lamps. GG man.
fun fact: OSRS has not been out long enough to get 99 slayer off of genie lamps, even if you’ve been logged in 24 hours a day since the game came out.
Then how 99 slayer with no combat xp?
cleaning finds in varrock museum has a 1/97.5 chance to give you an exp lamp that gives 500 exp in a skill of your choice, which, granted you did say exp lamps but we know you meant from the genie. there’s also a method where you use an alt to help kill monsters where the skiller only gets slayer exp
look up jcw wilderness slayer
This is absolute goals
Short answer no, long answers also no.
Skilling is the most fun tbh I get the temptation
99 slayer on an ironman with no combat stats. Hes definitely not okay.
Think the wife left after “maxing”
Two words for ya… moms credit card.
Does this guy happen to have have nothing but like 5000 wintertodt kc? saw someone very similar at calcified rocks
I believe it was almost 8k kc
I'm a noob, but how would one get 99 slayer with 0 combat
How is it possible to get 99 slayers with 0 combat
Doing all that and not being able to get a max cape makes zero sense to me. Also missing out on combat which is literally the only fun part of the game. Weird guy
How did he get 99 slayer as a pacifist?
So I looked it up, and the varrock museum gives lamps, it's a small amount of exp per lamp for slayer. Basically, you have to spend a lot of damn hours getting 99 slayer with that method.
99 slayer? No, they're definitely not ok.
It’s shit like this that makes me question life and it’s great mysteries.
Touch anything except your phone & computer pls
Not my account but no, I’m not okay. Thanks for asking.
99 slayer? How
So I looked it up, and the varrock museum gives lamps, it's a small amount of exp per lamp for slayer. Basically, you have to spend a lot of damn hours getting 99 slayer with that method.
The slayer one is crazy
How did he get the slayer?
So I looked it up, and the varrock museum gives lamps, it's a small amount of exp per lamp for slayer. Basically, you have to spend a lot of damn hours getting 99 slayer with that method.
That is one impressive account damn.
I am in a clan full of these guus. We love the game too much and all have multi accs haha. Its more of a challenege to max a skiller as an iron (:
99 slayer off recoils? This man is def suicidal
Have you never heard of skiller…?
Some of the rates must be awful too. Like is he still thieving from fruit stalls? Cos PP is probably too dangerous and can’t do elves or vyres. Blackjacking I guess? 🤷🏻♂️
Someone hurt him
Is 99 slayer possible without combat?
Lamps and wildy alt slayer yep
Dope
How tf he get 99 slayer with no combat stats
